This just infuriates me. We need to wrest control of elementary and secondary education out of the hands of the COMMUNISTS who run the teachers unions.

"While we would never censor anything that our children write, we sincerely apologize for forwarding letters that were in any way inappropriate to Pfc. Jacobs. This assignment was not intended to be insensitive, but to be supportive of the men and women in service to our nation"

I wonder how these kids and their enlightened teachers would feel if our soldiers were not there to protect their precious asses. If we had a situation in a school similar to what happened in Beslan Russia who in the hell do these kids and their teachers expect to come and rescue them? The NEA?

How did they get his address. Someone dropped the ball big time. An APO address shouldn't be shared directly with any school and a box of mail shouldn't be forwarded without those letters being vetted.

Doesn't Brooklyn have huge numbers of Muslims? I believe there was some rejoicing after 9/11 in Brooklyn. There were even articles posted here that some in the Brooklyn population even knew of the plot. Isn't it mmore likely that this is not an issue with the teacher but with several vocal Muslim students in the Social Studies class?

This definitely needs to be boomed out on Rush, Hannity, and O'Reilly's shows. Those NJ teachers need to be outed and publically reviled. Of course, as NEA members they can't be fired, but they should be shunned by everyone who hears about this vile act. I am glad that this packet of puke didn't reach our fighting troops in Iraq, because that would have been heartbreaking after all their sacrifice. I do think this comes under giving aid and comfort to the enemy...and using children in the government schools to do it. Just when you think they can't get any lower and more evil, a story like this comes along.

I can see 70s and 80s public school brain washing on this very forum....a lot.

And folks don't even know it.....they think it was always like this.

This is not new.

Park Slope is an ultra left-wing section of Brooklyn. Probably half the students in the class have 2 Mommies or 2 Daddies (or a succession thereof). This is the home of turkey baster babies!

The only good thing is they will rebel against their parents!

It infuriates me, too. At least it went to a soldier in Korea, instead of Iraq (where the accusations are really rank BS, not many mosques in Korea).

BTW, if you read the article, the letter which accused the soldiers of destroying mosques was written by a Muslim student (OK, so I read the whole article.)

Some of the programming here begins at home imho.

Is there any way we can Freep this soldier? We need to counter the bad stuff that was done to him. My boys will be glad to help, they write really nice letters.

How is it you know she didn't act independently of those others you mention?
