This little ditty is making the rounds on the anti-freeper boards:
"JimRob's "Electronic Orchard" And The Asian Sex Trade? posted by Anti-Freeper on 02/16/2005 at 14:09 .:. 251 times viewed .:. There are 53 replies. There Are rumors that Jim's old site "Electronic Orchard" was actually used to illegally sell Asian sex slaves to individuals in the United States.
I think, now that the blogosphere is kicking Rimmy's ass over the whole FR Immigration Purge fiasco, now is a good time to post any information CPers have about what "Electronic Orchard" REALLY was.
So please, if you have ANY information about what Jim was up to with Electronic Orchard, please post it here.
There are many Liberal websites and bloggers that would LOVE to have information about Electronic Orchard's history.
I looked on Google, but didn't find anything incriminating.
So if you know something please post it here.
Thanks."
ROFLMAO!!
Well, I've been in several business ventures in my life, but the sex slave trade was never one of them. I confess that I was a sailor in my youth and committed the sins of cussing, smoking, drinking, gambling and consorting with wild women, and for this I repent and beg forgiveness, but I've never traded in slavery - sex or otherwise.
And I can save anyone a lot of effort in research. I started Electronic Orchard after my consulting contract ran out with my old company, ProtoSource Corporation. E-Orchard was organized to offer programming and web site development services.
One of our first clients was a company called "Farm Tours" ( http://psnw.com/~farmtours/ ) and was referred to us by ProtoSource. He had a California farm tour company he wanted a website for. Simple enough. Then he said he and his wife also owned a resort in the Philippines (Virgin Beach Resort) and a pen pal "matching" service that he wanted web sites for. The idea was, he would be a matching service for American men who wanted to marry Filipino girls.
He maintained lists of Filipino girls wanting to marry Americans and would introduce them by mail. If the correspondence worked out, the interested men could join one of his tours to the Philippines and arrange to meet his pen pal.
The entire idea was to meet for matrimony purposes. In fact, this is the way our client met his own wife and their marriage worked out so well, he wanted to help others. The Filipinos are very proper and religious people. There was no sex slave trading involved.
At any rate, I set up the web site for the client on ProtoSource Network in 1997 and maintained it for the first year or so. He's had someone else maintain it for him ever since. I haven't been involved since '98 or so.
Well, the idiots have found their next target.
There are way too many laughs on FR tonight. I'm never going to get any studying done!
And no, I can't just log off. I'm more hooked on FR than I am on coffee.
oh, the horror! oh, the humanity!
That sounds like something Kitty Kelly would write.
Perry Como, sigh..LOL
Is this you, Jim?
"If this wasn't so serious, it would be the funniest damn thing I've heard in a long time. You better watch out, next they'll be saying you smuggle drugs in your wheelchair. :)"
I bet he learned that trick from Larry Flint.
Nice music.
Seriously, were those varmints in that culvert of their own volition? And where was that photo made -- so I can stay far away from it?
Indeed. It does. Well, Jim, everyone....no matter HOW we fight around here...we ARE family. We'll band together like they won't believe. They won't know what hit 'em....
Sex slaves. Sheesh. I'm sorry, but if THIS is the best their imaginations can come up with.......
I personally encountered a sight very much like this in the hills just outside of Salt Lake City. I was in a small park and a power crew working in the area had found the nest of vipers and brought it to my attention.
It was quite a sight and brought back a memory of when I was very young (around 14) on a visit to relatives in East Texas. A neighbor of my family kindly offered me the use of his horse so I could take a ride around the area. I was an experienced rider and welcomed the chance to view the country from horseback.
As I was returning from my enjoyable ride I decided the easiest and most direct route was to leave the non developed area and ride directly down the country lane. It was a paved road but not a well traveled one and the horse seemed comfortable walking down the shoulder. I hadn't gone too far when, to my surprise, a police officer pulled up behind me, flashed his lights and using the bullhorn ordered me and the horse to "pull over". I must have been breaking the law by riding a horse on the street, I thought and was immediately concerned about getting into trouble for doing such a foolish thing.
When the officer walked up to me he asked me where I had been riding. I told him I'd been off on the trails in the piney woods until just a ways back when I'd come onto the road to find my way back to my relatives house. His eyes narrowed and he asked me where I was from. When he found out where I was from (a long ways from Texas) he lit into me about the foolishness of riding in this country wearing tennis shoes instead cowboy boots!
Bless his heart - he lectured me for about 10 minutes about rattlers and such and why, even if I never intended to dismount the horse, it was important to be dressed for the activity and country you are in. He really made an impression on me and to this day, when I think of him, I smile and am thankful he cared enough to.

Heh, heh.
Let 'em pin something on me now!
Nope, that's not the site I set up.
The one I set up was the precurser to the current version (updated by someone else) at this location:

The site I set up is the one archived at the web.archive.org site here:
