I know there is a thorough review of statements here, and there is frequently a challenge to what is said. Sources are requested and people knowledgeable in the area under discussion will not hesitate to slam inaccurate statements. Personally I like the exchanges, out of this kind of review comes the real truth, or as close as one can get to it. Lockstep ideas are not what we need on FreeRepublic--after all it is FREE Republic. Genuine discussion and debate is great! Surely this is not what Hannity is speaking of is it??

I think that our criticism of Sean's repetitive, unthinking and self-promoting style got to him. As I've said before, he is a good soldier in our fight and has lots of fans and is converting others. That some grow tired or want more is not his fault. This cheap shot is below him. Big loss of respect there, Sean....

IMO, Hannity is jealous of the popularity of this site, and in his mind, a competitor. Rather than providing a better product (he can't), he's trying to demean FR in an attempt to bring business his way.

I didn't hear Sean's comments .. but if this is true .. then he is the one that is over board

But this is what makes FR what it is. When I want to go to a serious thread I go to it, but if I'm in a lighter mood, I like the silly threads and the various "inside jokes". FR is a source of news, sure, but it is also a great form of entertainment and a chance to be express ourselves in ways that we normally couldn't do out in the "real" world.

If he really said that, then he's turning into a pompous @ss. I think his radio show is lame. This guy that comes every friggin day named "marti" is a joke and i'll turn the radio off immediately when i hear his voice. the guy sounds like some "down and outer" skid row bum who never has anything important to say. In fact his rants are senile.
Hannity, garners allot of support from us here, but if this is his opinion then I'm saying he's just turned the corner, (like O'Reilly did last year) and is going to lose some audience.
