I wouldn't have figured you for a Bob Grant fan. I am a fan myself. But you don't like Michael Savage? I find him 100 times more interesting than Hannity or Levin. And forget O'Reilly. I don't even try to listen to him. I would tune into Hannity to hear Newt Gingrich comment on the scene. His callers are so bland. Bob Grant gets the most real, plain, sometimes hilariously weird callers. That's a big part of the show, as you probably know. Savage could do a show with no callers. Sometimes his topics don't interest me, but he is usually interesting, engaging, different. He's funny. His flights of fancy are very funny to me. His wordplay. He's a beat conservative.

Have you seen the C_Span special where Justice Scalia debated Justice Breyer about citing foriegn case law? If not... I suggest you do, it's a great lead up to reading Mark's Book

I like Sean Hannity, was favorably impressed by his autobiography, in which he said nice things about FR. I don't usually listen to him, since he's on in the evenings when I'm not driving.
However, I hope he gets over whatever bee is in his bonnet abaout us. True, there are all kinds on FR, but that's what makes it great. I do agree with him that on some threads there is too much loud knee jerk rhetoric not backed up with real argument. But even that can be useful at times, if not all the time.

I think there are some who come on this forum and expect everyone to stop and linger on every word that he/she writes. They are insulted that they become one of many and not the top dog. I do not need Sean Hannity or anyone else to light my path. I'm perfectly capable of finding my own way. I don't need a leader. But there are always those who need to lead. They don't last long. And they usually try to start their own site. Which doesn't last long. Funny, they never figure out WHY.

Mark spells it out in plain language, it's very clear that we have a runaway judiciary

YES! OH MY GOODNESS!!
Anyone who HASN'T seen it needs to. Breyer makes himself, NOT the Constitution and American case law, whenever it suits his views of what outcome should be shoved down our throats, among other things.
Scalia is both THE BEST legal Constructionist mind on the court but ALSO THE MOST LIKELY to leave a legacy unlike many can on the over-puffed USSC.

Granted, and I agree but if it becomes a reoccurring factor on his program then the courtesy should be extended. I don't really have a problem with Hannity professing his dislike for Free Republic as I stated before it may generate new revenue for Jim if some of the curious listeners of Sean's 400 plus affiliates drop by and like what they see. I believe that just like the automobile in its infancy when many car makers existed, the Internet forums or blogs or whatever term fits will dwindle down to a handful of powerful ones that become part of the MSM.

So what that Shawn said FreeRepublic has been taken over by the fringe.
It's a pretty wide open forum. The loosely hanging outer edge has been known to show up here.
To: 1Old Pro
Well, Mr. Hannity...Welcome to America and a major part of your listening audience ...
What a way to promote yourself..Just insult your listeners. Bad move.

Are you going to watch H & C tonight?
I doubt that he even knows how angry he has made Freepers---
To: Huck
I say this with sadness having listened to Bob Grant just today. He is old now and usually a shadow of what he once was. If you heard him 30 years ago, even 10,he was a true lion. And in the old days he was vicious, he often would turn on the caller you least expected. But the entertainment value was enormous. Why people called him for the abuse they received is beyond me, but he reduced many a person to tears on the air. I hope you don't think I'm criticising Bob, I am reminiscing.
To: TruthSetsUFree
Ironic isn't it? Hannity complaining about us eating our own as he eats us on the air. What an ass.
