Just now on his radio show...says we taken over by fringe people
I'm with you tx4guns, I used to listen, but he's too shrill for me. I prefer the positive, quick, educated intelligence of Michael Medved. Don't watch H & C anymore either, prefering Dennis Miller.
Even though he is a liberal, and I disagree with him almost totally, Mr. Combs is much easier on your temperment.
Best to simply and politely vote with our feet!
I don't think that Sean should have said what he did,in the way he said it;however,a part of it WAS right on the money;sadly.FR does have a fringe element, some of the posts are childish, but we also have quite an influx of trolls, disruptors, and KOOKS;which is NOT FR's fault.
Like you,I won't give up on listening to him/having him on as background noise. But since he's got Todd on his site,he really needs to pay attention to his own KOOK brigade. LOL
I can hardly believe that FR has become the force that it has. As an old timer, I remember when we weren't even concerned with anyone noticing us, much less dissing us or appreciating us.
Agreed.
Once he had a caller on his radio show, very articulate, who wanted to discuss an organization known as "People for a New American Century" (pnac.org).
Actually, it is "Project for a New American Century" (www.newamericancentury.org)
One person said that was his motive for his comments, and so many others have repeated the same. Why not take his comments at face value, and if there's truth to it, learn from it, and if there's not, just discard it.
As far as making money with his website, do you have any idea what bandwidth costs on a popular site? The fact that Sean has gone to charging for access to part of his site (but NOT his forums, mind you) is evidence that his site is doing well and that he needs to recoup some of the expenses for offering streaming audio of his show. That's more than Rush gives us on his site, BTW.
I believe these guys (Sean and Rush, etc) are in the business they are in because they have a gift for communicating and they have a passion for spreading the truth. BUT, it's still a business and they're going to have ads and promote their books and charge for some stuff so that they CAN keep on doing what they're doing. On the other hand, one doesn't have to pay to benefit from their shows. I haven't paid a dime for all that I've benefited from both Sean and Rush, and I'm very grateful that they're both in the business that they're in.
Great post!
Agreed. Maybe I'd feel a little more outrage if people hadn't been taking pot shots at Sean for months. Certainly not all in this thread were a part of it, but when Sean becomes the favorite whipping boy I don't think people can credibly cry if he takes a shot back.
Now I do think he was dead wrong to be so broad in his complaint, and to tie with his board was very poor taste. I think he deserves some hits for these actions. Just not the level to which it has grown.
I think everyone needs to take two steps back, realize we need each other, and stop trying to do the Leftists work for them.
.
No, I think HANNITY did exactly what he had to do to promote his own Internet website's Forum, thinking it will replace Freerepublic.com in the New Media Revolution in so doing.
But not with any of my help.
I heard HANNITY when he venomously said what he had no business saying about Freedom-preserving Freerepublic.com on the air. This website is one of the biggest factors in preventing our Enemy Within JOHN KERRY from entering our Oval Office in Time of War last month.
Next stop, Enemy Within HILLARY.
.
Levins FR handle is "holdonnow". He used to psot a lot on the Supreme Court threads. Not so much any more but his new book on SCOTUS is well worth reading, certainly more so than anything Sean has cobbled together.
Free Republic Open Border Lobbyist.
I just listened to the clip again from The Sean...what a blowhard shilling maroon.
I haven't listened to Hannity for over a year. He's a RINO.
Thats a perfect name for him.
It isn't so much his politics... it's his grating voice! I cannot listen to him and drive in traffic. Yeek!
holdonnow
I listened to Hannity, in the 2000 election cycle, found Hannity too Shrill after the election. In fact , I never watch Hannity and his little Holmes.
