I would think that if we or the Israelis were trying to destroy Iran's nuclear capability, we'd hit multiple sites all over the country.

I was thinking the same. If the intent had been to take out a facility, more than one missile would be involved.

Here is what Haaretz had to say a few minutes ago:

Report: Unknown aircraft fires missile in nuclear province By Haaretz Service and Reuters

Iranian state TV reported Thursday afternoon that an unknown aircraft fired a missile in its Bushehr province, where Iran has its nuclear power plant.

"A powerful explosion was heard this morning on the outskirts of Dailam in the Bushehr province. Witnesses said that the missile was fired from an unknown plane 20 km from the city," Iran's Arabic language Al-Alam said.

According to the reports, the missile targeted an area south of the city of Dailam.

Earlier Wednesday, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said during a visit to London, that Iran was six months away from having the knowledge to build a nuclear bomb.

Iran's Russian-built 1,000-megawatt nuclear reactor is due to start operating in Bushehr province in late 2005.

Tehran insists, however, that the facility is to produce atomic energy and not for a weapons program.

Can you imagine living in the apartment building and not knowing what was under you?

Did you hear about the government building in Brussels that GW Bush is going to visit next week?

It has a train/subway running under it! Secret Service is demanding it be halted while Pres. Bush is there.

Iranians want the mullahs out..but want nukes..What better way for the mullahs to garner support than to make the Iranians think their facilities are under attack?

Betcha it gets identified real quick by the end of the day. The Moolas will whip it around, get the Muslime zombies all stirred up, then pronounce, loudly, that it was a Zionist attack.

Who else besides us, Israel, the Iranians would have an interest in this?

Said to have hit an unpopulated area....the fact that the Iranians did it themselves and now will blame us is not farfetched.

But I am wondering who else has a dog in this fight?

Witnesses paid to have seen passing an aircraft not identified before the explosion does not occur, indicated Al Alam.

I like reading that one slowly.
