The President had no formal appearances today, but in a 98-0 decision, nominee Michael Chertoff was confirmed as the new Secretary of Homeland Security by the Senate. President Bush signed a declaration that Ohio is a major disaster area due to a severe ice storm, heavy snow flooding and mudslides (it's still a mess here!). First Lady Laura Bush spoke today at the 2005 Community College National Legislative Summit in Washington.

The Dems are on the run and losing ground. It's a GREAT Day to be a Bushbot, so ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!

Thank you....I know the pain you suffered today...I went through that several years ago and the doctor screwed up...my arthritis doctor had a fit and called the doc who did the procedure, he had to put me on predisone for 6mos so the inflamation would go away.....it's he$$ getting old.

Chertoff might have something like celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Those folks look emaciated and have trouble gaining weight.

It was something I'll never forget...this young doc did not know what he was doing...he probed me with that needle for 30min...I was in bed for a week unable to walk.....my regular doc made a huge scene, and I never recieved a bill...LOL...thankfully it was years ago and I survived....next time, I'll grab the needle...LOL....good luck with your shot, they do work wonders(when done right).

I'm all right, just tired. I'm always tired this time of day. I've got fibromyalgia.

I was exploring a new store in town and they had a section of British foods. Most things were imported. If I could remember all the names of things I'd ask you about them.
Clotted cream is the one I remember. What is that used for?
They also had some sort of Devon ____ Cream [I can't remember all of the name.
