I don`t think Condi would run against the Beast666. The last thing Condi needs is a contract out on her head. "Hi my name is John F. Kennedy jr. and I think I`ll run for Senator of New York..Hey, I`m dead what happened?"

You are correct but then he did have his status as a war hero to help him. I am not saying she would be a bad president but that she lacks experience in the politics associated with elected office. Personally, I do not think she will be the nomination but I could be wrong.

My only point is that this is a post 9/11 world in which we live. Things are different.

I think national security experience will resonate with future electorates much more than it ever has in the past, and will trump virtually anything else (e.g. having been elected governor of a small state, which, as we know, in the past was good enough to get you elected.)

Am I the only one who has grown tired of Dick Morris' analyses?

I know you can't - don't bother responding.

Jeb Bush. But thanks for playing.

I know he's a self-serving blowhard who would stab his own mother in the back if it would help him... but I still enjoy reading what he has to say!

Chris,

Enjoy your post immensely. I have been thinking about your "Fashion" post in regards to Condi.

I took a look at the outfit Condi was wearing at the State of the Union, I then looked at Hillary's.

My gosh Hillary looked like she had a Chairman Mao outfit modified to a pantsuit and then stuck it in the spin cycle with some bleach. My gosh what a contrast, she looked like an aging tired communist at heart, with her apparatchik crumbling in that outfit vs. a Woman on the move with Condi.

They are grooming her no question about it. The Bushies are all about trust and promoting those that are loyal and at top of their game. I get a sense they also have a sense of history and try to do things that will outlast them. Helping promote the First African American Female Republican President would definitely fit that bill.

A good friend and coworker in the depths of the Clinton Juggernaut after his Impeachment one morning came in to work. He didn't even say hello, but he says to me "Condelezza Rice" I say Condi who? he says GWB needs her as his V.P. and proceed in giving me her bio. This was in 98, man he was way ahead of his time.

Giussolini has too much "baggage" to be a viable candidate.

Besides, Hillary is not as "unstoppable" as Morris and certain Freepers think she is.

It has been my experience that the most racist white people live in and around Boston and New York, NOT the south.

I got the heartiest laugh when I heard Roger Hitchcock talk about Condi possibly running for President. Can you IMAGINE the fits the Dems are having over this threat?

I don't know a lot about Condi's social views. As an active pro-lifer, I can only hope she is open to hearing and seeing what is really going on in this country with respect to abortion. I'd like to support her, but she really needs to turnaround her abortion stance if she's not pro-life.

Yep. Condi vs. Hillary would be by far the nastiest fight we've ever seen. I say: bring it on. The Democrats wouldn't be able to keep themselves from displaying their racism and hypocrisy.

I mis-read your question because your tone and stance were ignorant. I thought you were asking for a pro-life candidate who could beat Hillary. But actually the point you were trying to make was dumber. You were asking how many conservatives would support Clinton over Rice. This question is irrelevant, because people who vote based on racial quotas (read: affirmative action) weren't going to vote for Rice anyway, and Conservatives who are opposed to abortion have already showed in the past that they'll stay away or vote for a third party candidate. Plus liberals are stupid, and the branding that Rice is merely Karl Roves "house n*gger" will stick with them, and there's nothing she can do to change that. They get their news from "The Daily Show," and "Weekend Update."

Hello friends,

Chris, good to hear from you. I missed your posting on fashion, but, I must say that I think Condi has great style with regard to her clothing. I just think her hair do is a bit matronly (sp).

I wouldn't say that Hillary has much 'style' seeing as she wears the black pantsuit like a uniform!

Stay in touch. Peace.

An executive has been in the position to make decisions-- here I refer to governors, but would be amenable to an individual with private experience.

As an example of someone without executive experience, see John Kerry.

Not that being a former governor assures good leadership as President, see Billy Carter.

I understand your logic, but I just don't share your conclusions. You don't think that Dr. Rice has been making "decisions" regarding national security and the war on terror? Do you really think that Jimmy Carter's and Bill Clinton's experience as governor really makes that much difference?

Again, I think that in the post 9/11 world in which we live, national security experience would greatly trump any experience as a governor or even senator.

Judging from their treatment of her during the Senate confirmation hearings, I'd say that's a fair bet!

Condi worked for both the Reagan and previous Bush administrations. She is Bush's closest advisor outside of Dick Cheney. I'd say she has loads of leadership experience and will have even more by '08.
