A Warren County elementary teacher faces a maximum 100 years in prison if she's convicted of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.
Only news two was in Fentress County as 27-year-old Pamela Rogers Turner was arrested and charged with 15 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and 13 counts of statutory rape. District Attorney General Dale Potter said that Turner, a physical education teacher and coach at Centertown Elementary, had an ongoing sexual relationship with a male student. Potter said that some of the incidents even took place at school and at the boy's home, where the teacher reportedly lived a short while.
"Most of the time, we try to prosecute them as harshly as possible when it comes to sex crimes involving children. As far as this case, we intend to prosecute it to the fullest extent possible. As far as saying that she will get an x amount of time or anything like that, that will probably be determined by a judge," said Potter.
I see the Pervert Fan Club has been banned already. ;D
i'm glad you came out of it as well as you did : )
My gym teacher, circa 1964, when I was 14. |
I'm sorry to say that I have no idea. As a former student I can't say I'm suprised by this.
Sorry for the double post but I've yet to adapt to this board's layout. Just a slight correction.
Her father is the coach of the Clarkrange Buffalos in Fentress County, not Warren County as someone stated earlier. He seems devastated by this.
OK> Took me to #234 to find a really outstanding post on a tired topic.. As a single dad of 12 and 8 yr old sons, and who has now quit dating [see the info on the anti-marriage threads..it's all true..especially the part about the psychos out there], the truth of your post is glaring like bright headlights on an October Tennessee country night.
And I would go on to say that boys, the proof is in the male suicide and divorce stats..are more emotionally vulnerable than some here might like to think. The LEGAL vulnerability is undisputed fact.
Someone else put it even better earlier: Any woman that would do this is a headcase..and who would want to be involved with a headcase..in or out of bed.
I would like to send your profile page to a lib friend of mine. OK?
shoot......Appalachia starts on the Cumberland Plateau in my opinion and the rise up the western slope is about 30 miles east of Nashville on I-40.
I'd say anywhere east of the Carthage-Gordonsville exit on I-40 is the beginning of Appalachia and run straight across to Wilkes Barre North Carolina ...about a 250 mile wide swath from Northern GA and Alabama across to NW South Carolina up thru KY, NC, VA, WV, PA, Ohio, MD and even parts of NY VT, NH and ME but that's just me.
we gotta eat.
there are more deer in Mississippi than erect primates.
soon they will catch up with chickens.
LOL!!
glad you got it!
the old olympic days were a hoot.
It was going on when I was in school - she was 27, and she was sleeping with juniors and seniors.
Everyone knew. This was in a small town in Ohio.
Ummm enthusiastic eagerness; repeat performances in a short time frame? Someone they can... ah hem... teach, according to their own desires.
Just a guess.
hahahaha! I like that one AND the kitty sniff, too.In fact, I already put the kitty sniff on my desktop for later.
Stealin' the Rabbit Sniff now, too. :^)
Your wife is wise and shares the same sentiment as I.
Of course you wouldn't hear about it - the teacher isn't exactly going to put flyers in the teacher's lounge advertising her services, and the students certainly don't seek out trusted teachers to confide in (though the government nannies keep pushing that stupid idea).
In Cleveland, we had a 50+ superintendent lose her entire career by sleeping with a 14-year-old boy, and one of the best private schools in the state hired a gym teacher who knocked up one of their pretty 13-year-olds. That's just the stories that have happened in the past two years locally.
Pammy's husband should thank his lucky stars he didn't marry that other teacher-child molester named Pam - Pamela Smart.
I think it's deeper than that.
good point...they killed him right?
