Schools Official Assails 'Gay Lifestyle'

A Fairfax County School Board member has sent letters to the district's 24 high school principals urging them to ensure that students hear the views of people who believe that homosexuality is a choice and a "very destructive lifestyle."

In a Jan. 30 letter, Stephen M. Hunt (At Large) asked the principals to host speakers with an "ex-gay perspective" and offer students, teachers and counselors literature provided by the conservative group Concerned Women for America and other organizations.

"Children are being taught that homosexuality is normal and natural. It is neither," Hunt wrote. "To state that it is normal or natural is to promote the myth that accompanies the homosexual activist rhetoric."

But in the letter Hunt said students often are exposed to the "Will and Grace version of homosexuality." He contended in the letter that gays often suffer drug and alcohol abuse or physical abuse and that gay men don't live as long as heterosexual counterparts. "There are huge ramifications for people who may make a choice to go into that lifestyle, and we should make sure they are fully aware of the entire issue," Hunt said in an interview.

The expression of so-called "homosexual behavior" in nature is nothing at all like the condition of homsexuality in human beings.

Exactly.

Some here will say that because homoerotic behavior is seen in nature, that's one of the reasons we see it in humans. In saying so, they are completely missing the bigger picture.

As I've previously said: What is important to note is that homosexual behavior in animals stems from completely different reasons than homosexual behavior in humans. So even if someone were to believe in evolution, comparing the two is to ignore what science tells us regarding homosexuality.

So I guess you are no more than an animal yourself?

The difference between animals and humans is that Humans have a will a conscience and a decision making process.

Animals, as a rule do not have that.

I am absolutely appalled that the gay "party line" has been sold to so many people. Any person is completely capable of choosing whether or not to be intimate with someone else, or who that someone else is. That includes the gender of the other person at. Any person is also capable of controlling their desires, or directing them where they with them to go. There is no such thing as a "gay gene" and while there is a such thing as "sexual preconditioning" that can be overcome. If homosexuality were not a choice there would be no people who were quite committed gays that at some point decided to become completely and totally straight. But everyone knows that the sort of people I'm talking about do exist. The concept that sexual orientation is not a choice is a lie that has been fed to people in an attempt to make deviant behavior acceptable to the masses.

Only 90%+ do believe the bible as inherint truth - so I guess we should all be held hostage to your perverted beliefs in the interests of being openminded while we are told to shut our mouths. I agree with you for the most part. There is NO gay gene. I do think it is rooted in psychological 'conditioning'in childhood. It is like seriously physically abused kids...some use that as an excuse for violence and murder. Others CHOOSE not to commit violence and murder. One could alwyas abstain, as homosapiens do have "free will".

As I also said,it occurs in nature, ONLY when there are no partners of the opposite sex available, that is the time you will see animals opting for same sex partner. I don't think that supports the choice for a homosexual lifestyle. As one freeper said...some animals are cannibalistic...should that give rationale to cannibalism in homosapiens?

I think he would acknowledge what you posted, will you acknowledge that the homosexual lifestyle (particularly for males) is dangerous and statistically not as healthy as a heterosexual lifestyle?

I totally agree with you. I wish the schools would skip any and all 'social engineering' subjects and use the money they waste on this stuff to set up required parenting classes for the parents to attend once a month. It would be better to teach a few parents how to parent than having fresh-off-of-liberal-college-campus-teachers filling kids heads with social issue subjects. Thank heavens I already raised my family, as I don't envy young parents today.

Unfortunately, I beg to differ with you; Maybe some have choice, but the ones I know just knew it around 11 or 12 years of age.

This is such a heartwrenching subject. I personally know a homosexual who, with pain in his eyes, told me he knew at age 5 that he was 'different'. While I don't think there should be the emphasis there is in our schools re this subject, nevertheless, I think we need to have some compassion for people who struggle with this.

Yes -it indicates that you equate dumb instinct driven animal behavior to chosen human behavior in attempt to falsely imply the homosexual disorder is 'natural' -animals also eat thier young and howl at the moon...
