Good morning Lori.

Always good to see pics of Syncro. Where's bootless' cowboy hat from the last ball? Oh, that's what Mudboy look like.

Enough of my chatter.

Off to bed I go. :-)

Tried And True

Read: Galatians 5:22-26

Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, but who can find a faithful man? —Proverbs 20:6

Bible In One Year: Job 35-37

We are often disappointed by the unfaithfulness of people. A family member promises to write, but months go by without a letter. A pastor says he will visit when we are sick, but he doesn't make it to the hospital or to our home. A friend agrees to be there for us in our bereavement but doesn't even call. Others tell us they will pray for us but quickly forget our need. Someone promises to do an important task for us but never follows through. We ask ourselves, "Who can find a faithful man?" (Proverbs 20:6).

We can do very little about the unfaithfulness of others. But we can do a lot about our faithfulness to others. When we make a promise we must keep it. When we tell someone we will pray for them, we need to follow through and do it. When we proclaim our loyalty and love for others, we can do little things that show them we mean it.

The apostle Paul said that one fruit of the Spirit is faithfulness (Galatians 5:22). God will create in us a steadfast spirit if we take seriously what we tell others we will do for them, and if we follow through.

Ask God to make you a person whom others can count on—a person who is tried and true. —David Roper

Lord, grant to me a faithfulness
In what I say and do
So others will be confident
That I will follow through. —D. De Haan

Faithfulness in little things is a great thing.

Good morning Finest FRiends! Unfortunately, I can't see any of the pictures. Some kind of web server/firewall miscommunication or some such techy issue. Waaaaaah! I hope I don't look too goofy! ;-) (If I do... Billie, please do some of your "magic"! hahahaha)

I'm off to Alabama for a day or two. My mom is sick, so I'm going to visit and take care of her. Hubby (new FReeper "Turbojet") came home from work this morning saying he's sick and decided to stay home. I hate leaving him, but I think he'll be OK.

Have a great day FRiends!

Today's calendar, although theologically imprecise!, certainly gives voice to the hurly burly of inauguration activities!

I'm asking every who hasn't yet, please pray for the men and women who were in a helicopter crash this morning. May they rest in peace. May their families find comfort in know that many cared and loved their loved ones.

Good morning, you two. Hope you are feeling better today, Lori. Today's thread is a winner - everyone so looks forward to the Inaugural pictures of other Freepers! Thank you both for letting those of us who weren't there live vicariously through you!

Jen, not to worry! You either looked really great all by yourself or Mama Bear did a heck of a job retouching! :)

Thank you both (((((Mama-Bear))))) and (((((JustAmy)))))) for sharing your beautiful memories with us.

Just taking a few moments rest from moving (we're way too old for this - moving from one building to another in the same complex) to look at and enjoy your photos.

They came out great and are a wonderful way for the rest of us that couldn't go to live vicariously through your pictures.

This is such a great Post Mama Bear, love seeing the pictures of all these people that I admire so much.

Saw you say that you weren't feeling well. There's a bug going around here, a virus that lasts about a week. That's kind of unheard of, a virus usually only last for two to three days. Hope that's not what you have.
