The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

He didn't feed her but simply brought pudding one time. I believe it was Iyer or one of the caregivers who talks about they did give her jello once?
He only stepped in because the Legislature crafted a law that allowed him to step in. Terri would have been murdered already if it wasn't for the Legislature and those working with them to get the "unconstitutional" "insufficient" Terri's law crafted. The law didn't go far enough. It saved her from being murdered but as we know it didn't get her out of the hands of those trying to kill her nor did it provide her the therapy and rehabilitation which are her retained rights under Florida law. Perhaps if it would have provided for these things King would have quashed it?

Jeb Bush's job (and sworn duty) is to uphold the constitution and laws. Whether or not he's the person who should have been responsible for protecting Terri, the task fell to him as a matter of default: somebody had to do it, and nobody else did.

"I made extensive notes and listed all of Terri's behaviors, but there was never any apparent follow-up consistent with her responsiveness," Law said. "There were trash cans at the nurses stations that we were supposed to empty each shift, and I often saw the notes in them."
Law directly disputes Michael Schiavo's claim that Terri is in a Persistent Vegetative State, as well. In her affidavit, she detailed how she routinely provided Terri with a wet washcloth filled with ice chips to keep her mouth moistened and, on at least three occasions, fed Terri flavored gelatin.
"I personally saw her swallow the ice water and never saw her gag. [Another CAN] and I frequently put orange juice or apple juice in her washcloth to give her something nice to taste, which made her happy," Law recalled. "On three or four occasions I personally fed Terri small mouthfuls of Jell-O, which she was able to swallow and enjoyed immensely."

I never did understand how Judge Greer got away with ignoring all the nurses who testified about Terri's true condition.
These nurses put their jobs in jeopardy to tell the truth about Terri. I don't know how many lost their jobs.
I think we have a problem there, too!

I didn't realize that her brother and sister only requested that the nurse feed Terri. They did not try to feed her themselves. And for this, they were denied visiting rights.

I would love to see a recall of Judge Greer. This is a little off the subject, but Candid Camera just did a piece on recalling fictitious public officials. It was surprising how many people signed it without knowing who was being recalled. It may not be that hard to get a petition going.
I guess you have to live in Florida to sign a recall, but if Judge Greer heard that he may be recalled, maybe he would finally do the right thing to avoid a recall or grand jury investigation.
That is not MY quote! If true however, that appears to more than just bias. How can anyone deny a persons right to eat?! And if true, what caliber of lawyers are the Schindler's employing?

The quote is probably on Terri's web site, somewhere. I googled for the quote, found it on WorldNetDaily and the Empire Journal and other articles on Terri.

1975 is the truth. So, instead of giving Terri swallowing therapy to strength those muscles which is done by speech therapists, they put her on a gastric tube and then Michael has a built-in excuse to have Murder by Medicaid. He gets off scott free even those he has such MONSTROUS IDEAS ABOUT WHAT HUSBANDS CAN DO WITH THEIR WIVES.
