Why would the radio station give him permission to jump off their tower if the conditions were so dangerous?
...oh, that's right, they didn't.

The excerpt can be a *little* longer. Up to 288 words longer in this case.

unfortunately, he will never get to my screen name...

I did this ONCE, off of a bridge over the Pecos River in Texas. It is at the very limit of the height that it can "safely" be done. I did 77 static line jumps and 36 HALO jumps in the Army, none of them were like this.

Did you have to excerpt it? The registration process to view an article is irritating.

This illustrates the necessity of doing cost/benefit analysis of important decisions on your life.
In this case,
Possible Cost: It's expensive, it's time consuming, many people will think you are a nut (including your health insurance company), it's often illegal, it's possible to be maimed or (more likely) killed.
Possible Benefit: None
Although this is a close call, I have to think the balance is leaning toward NOT jumping off of very tall objects.

All of which leads one to assume a certain party affiliation on the part(s) of this deceased jumper.
