I was just wondering how many freepers believe in global warming? What do you think about it?

"Anyone with a simple knowledge in chemistry knows that freons react with O3(ozone) and break it down into 02. Also known as global warming."
Then I'd recommend *YOU* start doing the responsible thing and start drinking flat beer and soda pop. Quit polluting the air with all that "toxic" CO2 from your pop-tops. /end sarcasm

I believe that global warming isn't an evenly distributed effect, but regionalized depending upon where on the planet one is talking about; other regions are experiencing varying degrees of global cooling. For instance, in general from mid May until mid September lower states of the USA, as well as northern Mexico, experience some significant degrees of global warming. Contrarywise, from about mid November through March those same regions experience some significant degrees of global cooling. At the same time as these regions are experiencing either global warming or global cooling, a coordinate region of the planet relatively opposite to it is experiencing the other global effect.
This is not any big scientific breakthrough, however; for centuries we've usully called these effects: The Seasons of Summer and Winter.

I think it is real, it is occurring now and some of it is due to mankind. I really don't think there is much that can be done about it. I believe that we should be concerned about man's effect on the environment, I also think the private sector is our best hope. The first company that develops workable fuel cell technology is going to be RICH. My predicition is that there will be no internal combustion cars within 100 years.

The sun has been on a warming trend.
It's funny how people tend to pay attention to the symptom more than the cause.

They say that it's been 1000 years since average temperatures were this warm.
I'm glad the 1000 year cooling trend is finally over.

IF there is any significant human effect on global warming, we need to just learn to deal with the results. The proposals to seriously cripple industry in order to try to limit global warming, have a cost WAY out of proportion to the realistic benefit that could be expected.

While we aren't running out of oil, it is not a renewable resource. When we do hit the peak, (in who knows how long, not in our lifetime probably) things will change.

Your question is more or less devoid of meaning. Global temperatures vary from year to year, century to century and millennium to millennium. Whether any short term change indicates a long term trend, whether or not such change is anthropogenic, whether or not it is beneficial, or what he can, or can reasonably do are all open questions.
I do not have the answers, and Al Gore doesn't know what questions to ask. Apparently you don't either.

The world's been getting steadily warmer for the past 10,000 years, more recently in the last 500. Check out James Burke's "Connections." It'll give you a great perspective.
Global Warming is just more of the usual hand-wringing from the usual suspects. Humans bad, Earth good. This old world got along just fine for billions of years, and will continue to do so, in spite of us. Why do we insist on being so self-centered that we think everything humans do reverberates through the whole Universe? We're just inconsequential specks compared whith what this world has endured.

The sun is warming up. Mt Pinatubo released ad much greenhouse gases as the whole industrial revolution. We have no production of R12 anymore so the third world could pollute more. They want us to give them money.

Ok, lets play...
1. I wonder what ketchup boy made of global warming?
2. Hey, tell us all what he can DO about it!
Heheheh

"What do you think about it?"The phenomena amounts to folks wetting their pants at the direction of con artists. They then dance to any silly tune they play.

Yes, I do, and that dirty old Mt St. Helens needs to be torn down for causing the warming and the air pollution. /S

Here in Phoenix, United States of Texas, I believe in warming from March until October. From November through April I believe in cooling. Otherwise I think global warming is a myth just like global cooling was back in the '70s.

I believe that the belief in Global Warming is a luxury that we do not have time for right now as there are more pressing issues i.e. imminent death by terrorists. potential increase in room temperature 350 years from now.
