Anyone who thinks the Edwards half of teh Dippity Doo-oh should be President Bush's VP needs rethreading. If you'd done politics for more then a few months, you'd know that Edwards has never voted without permission from Bayh or Kennedy. Bayh's his groomer, and Kerry's his sponsor.

That "prepare for the worst" pollster does not work for the GOP--i.e. this is not a Bushie depressed. The Bush teamers are enthused--working on the ground, seeing the enthusiasm and numbers. none of that has changed in the last few days, just anecdotally. Posted at 01:20 PM

Well, I'm certainly panicking. I was sure Bush was gonna win, but then I was looking at my trees, and the leaves all turned funny colors and I said "oh, no!" but then the dang things fell apart. Then it got real cold, which is one sign of global warming. The cat had kittens, the moon eclipsed, and the Red Sox won the Series. We live in troubling times. But I'm ready...
