"OMGosh, that's hysterical. I have to get one for my husband!!! Where can we get them? Anyone? No time to search. Running out the door to the Dr."
LOL! What a hoot .....

A collage of pics. The one below the top two, haha!
Amish don't care to be photographed. This is obviously important enough to allow their pictures taken. A very good omen.
Ping and bump! Yes, BOTH!
(A girl doesn't have to choose just one, doncha know.)
I've never known them to vote either. Their endorsement will also affect the Mennonite vote...the more traditional Mennonites that is, not those polluted by the WCC.
Lebanon County bump! You're right. Lititz is beautiful! (you must know about Lebanon balogna)
Thank you SO much, massadvj, on these AWESOME pics. I'm thanking you through tears.

BTW, do you think one of your enterprising Amish friends might get an idea and start selling "Hung like an Amishman" overalls?
You have to visit the thread and look at the photos to get it.
It might be because of the size of the airport. Not every "local" airport can support a 747 - runway is not long enough.
I live in central Pa, there are quite a few amish in our county, Belleville and Reedsville PA are mostly amish and mennonite communities. I will be anxious to see how many are out voting next week. I would have loved to been in Lancaster today, oh well, the pictures are a great replacement. Keep the faith......
BTT
Thanks for the ping. They are awesome. Something that's been so telling this campaign season are the crowd sizes. Even with the inflated numbers the complicit media show attending Kerry's rallies, the President's appearances are drawing record crowds across this country. I'm hoping and praying for a victory so vast, Kerry's dreams of overturning the vote will diminish on the evening of November 2nd.
It's the President's stand against same-sex marriage, the abortion issue, and embryonic stem-cell research.
Also .. during one of the President's early campaign speeches, a group of the Amish elders (not sure which area) showed up and brought the President a quilt (and other gifts). They requested to meet with him to present the quilt. He agreed. GW went to meet with them privately - and they requested they be allowed to pray with him and over him. He agreed. They did. After that meeting, the stories of the Amish starting to register to vote FOR THE FIRST TIME began to filter out into the media.
Now .. somebody tell me GOD is not involved in this election ..??
"Hung Like A Republican" is a little bit over the top for anyone, particularly a presumably teenage kid, but I coughed water out of my nose just the same when I saw that pic.
It won't be me. Thank you for the information. I had not heard that.
.
It was hidden in some local newspaper in the Amish area - something the MSM would never pick up on.
I don't remember how I saw the story, but I was stunned. And .. like some here have said, when I saw the pictures, I teared up also .. remembering the story.
Are you kidding, I LOVE Lebanon bologna! A favorite finger food growing up was cream cheese and LB, rolled up and cut into pieces.
I'm currently reading "The Faith of George W Bush." He definitely felt a calling to run for president.
I don't mean to take gratuitous shots at John Kerry (well, maybe I do), but I can't imagine him taking the time to pray privately with a few Amish, whereas I can see GW finding it a perfectly natural thing to do.
"Lebnin baloney" and cream cheese! Chust too gud!
