Ohio Gov. Taft: Four Counties Have More Registrants than Eligible Voters

Appearing on CNN's American Morning program Tuesday, Ohio's Republican Governor Bob Taft painted a disturbing picture of widespread vote fraud in his state.

Taft told CNN's Bill Hemmer that in four Ohio counties, more people have registered to vote than live in those counties and are of voting age.

"We have four counties where you have more voters registered than you have 18 and over population," Taft said.

Taft noted the role of Democrat 527 groups who have inflated Ohio's voter registeration rolls.

"We've had a lot of fraudulent voter registrations already, mostly by those 527 groups. There will be unprecedented scrutiny of this election on both sides," he said. Taft noted that many of these new registrations appear to be fraudulent.

"A lot of these voters don't have addresses," he said of the new registrations. "When they send the postcard out to them, after they register, that comes back undeliverable. You're talking about thousands of cases like that all across the State of Ohio."

Taft says he hopes the heightened level of scrutiny will lead to "an accurate count for the State of Ohio."

Taft said vote monitors will seek to "make sure that a voter is a citizen, 18 and over, and a resident of the precinct and county where they plan to vote."

Could you possibly explain how that will happen? Not trying to be a smarty by any means, but I just don't see how that is possible.

It would be rough justice indeed if someone with access to those phony addresses used them in their calls to the local county Dem headquarters.

I'm in GA. We do. I have no problem with that.

I can't remember, because I've been voting absentee the last five elections. I thought they made us show an ID, but I could be wrong.

I like how you think...but...have you taken a good look at the vehicles that sport sKerry stickers? They tend to be 12 years old, ahem, and be of a make and model that is very eco-charmed and fuel efficient.

Non-existent people don't vote, so if the names do get added to rolls, there is nobody to actually cast the vote.

Not so sure. If I've registered Mary Poppins at my house, then I can vote as Mary Poppins. And however many other people I've registered.
No one asks for id at the polls. And all of the signatures I've registered as will match the one I vote with.

This is all part of a plot to overload the system and claim disenfranchisement. The fact is, the intentional overloading is the culprit by denying the proper processing of other legitimate registrations.

I wonder how much taxpayer money has been wasted processing bogus registrations? This has to come to an end.

Non-existent people don't vote, so if the names do get added to rolls, there is nobody to actually cast the vote. Most of the time the names will get removed once the elections people are unable to locate them. So the 527's look like they are getting all these new voters but a small percentage actually are legit and end up voting. Basically, they end up with very little bang for their buck.

But the groups doing the registering now have a database of names. What's to stop them from putting people on a bus, going from precinct to precinct and telling them what name to use at each one? I know that's how it will work here in Wisconsin.

For whatever it's worth, I have a solution (or at least part of a solution) to this whole voter fraud issue:

1.) Require positive, picture ID from each and every voter, and they must SIGN for their ballot, and the signatures must match.

2.) After casting their vote, they are NOT allowed to leave the polling place UNTIL they receive an indelible stamp on their hand, that will NOT wash off for 24 to 48 hours, visible by black light (just like they do in night clubs and bars), and before step (1) above...EVERYONE must pass their hands under a black light BEFORE they are admitted to a polling place, i.e., if you have been 'stamped' as having already voted, you do NOT re-enter a polling place on the day of the election.

That would go a long way to eliminating voter fraud, and the DemocRATs would be squealing like stuck pigs.

I'd say since the "watch" is on all over in Ohio - the chances for the Socialist Democrats are slim at pulling off a large enough fraud to impact the vote total -

I believe it's the places where the Socialist Democrats are in charge this election that need watching the most - and the known Socialist Democratic states need watched also -

Weren't all the places in Florida in 2000 run by Democrats - or was there a Repub. place - just wondering -

Also to all how does one go about checking the thousands and thousands of absentee ballots that could just be phoney made up names? Here in LA so many people live in apartments and get many letters delivered to us all the time with the correct address but wrong names attached?

Actually in Georgia,

You either have to Show Id or a Utility Bill in your name.
If not then you have to swear under oath to your identity.
( False Identity is a Felony in Georgia and WILL be Prosecuted!). If your name is not on the Official Registry then it goes as a Provisional Ballot. "If the Provisional Ballot cannot be verified on a roll as being legit. then the vote does not count." ( This is were the DemonRats will try to push disinfranchisement)

That is not vote fraud; That is voter registration fraud.

Most fake registrations never actually vote.

Yes this is true. The very fact we are hearing about all the exposed fraud is a good thing.

I think we are okay in Ohio.

Especially with Ohio's Attorney General as the watch dog. He seems vigilant.

I'm with you on 1, but 2 is silly and overrated as a security device in this case.

All you have to do to remove it is get whatever solvent is necessary to wash that gunk off. Heck, rubbing alcohol does the job there.

I like that early election stuff is going on, and I like that there have been problems already. The lawsuits have all been Rat-filed, and it has made them look awful.

Let's just be vigilant about who counts, where it's counted, and keep an eye on the ballots and computer counting. Philly and Columbus are dangerous cities. At least in Florida we know the counters are fair.

ACORN came by the house today looking for my wife.

Wanted to know if she was registered to vote.

10 yard signs for Bush, Hefley, Coors and the stupid sob thinks we're not registered to vote.

Told em his organization was committing massive voter fraud nation wide and if he didn't leave asap I was going to call the police.

Got his and his supervisors name just in case we have a problem voting.
