To: Trust but Verify
Non-existent people don't vote, so if the names do get added to rolls, there is nobody to actually cast the vote. Most of the time the names will get removed once the elections people are unable to locate them. So the 527's look like they are getting all these new voters but a small percentage actually are legit and end up voting. Basically, they end up with very little bang for their buck.

But the groups doing the registering now have a database of names. What's to stop them from putting people on a bus, going from precinct to precinct and telling them what name to use at each one? I know that's how it will work here in Wisconsin.

You have to have people smart enough to pull it off and stupid enough to commit a crime. There will be some who will do it, but not thousands or tens of thousands.
