bump, repeat, and rinse:
The campaign manager for Kerry was upset that John Kerry's 20 years in the United States Senate was back on the table,
Here it is on a silver platter. To use another metaphor, there's blood in the water. Will Bush go after this?

One Cheney zinger Hewitt doesn't mention: After recounting all the votes Edwards has missed, "I preside over the Senate every Tuesday, and tonight is the first time I've met you". Ouch!!!

One of the most powerful things Cheney did was
not speaking or responding when it wasn't necessary. An amazing trait in a politician. He was simply awesome.
Gwen was also a very fair and firm moderator. She did a great job.

Well, it's about time, I was hoping Bush would have nailed him on his record in the first debate!

I do not know how many people watched the raw video the debate. I watched it and enjoyed the debate that was devoid of the narrators. Certainly in my mind, Vice President Cheney spanked Senator Edwards like one would do to a puppy that just soiled the living room carpet.
I believe that without the commentators, the message that VP Cheney was conveyed loud and clear. Also, VP Cheney was gracious enough to let slide the snide comment that referred to his daughter.
VP Cheney showed that the current administration is decisive and tough and on the right track to defeating terrorism.

Hugh Hewitt should have been the moderator of all 4 debates. He is absolutely nails when it comes to getting to the substance of an issue, and is probably the best interviewer on the radio today.

Poor little John. That was one of my favorite parts of the debate. Funny that he should reply that the Vice Prez "mischaracterized" his attendance record but then DIDN'T correct it! (I think he was lying through his teeth, myself.)
Could someone tell me what's up with this thumb pointing gesture that both Johns do? Is that something that John Kennedy used to do and they are copying? Or is it a typical lawyer-type gesture? It looks so "put on."

The conventional wisdom is that the president stays above attacks, and the VP handles that aspect of a campaign. President Bush clearly holds the office in great regard, and doesn't wish to be seen as an attack dog. That is what Cheney does so well. He does it like a gentleman, but he gets the job done.

Ive been saying that Bush actually won the debate and Kerry gave the RNC the ammo to take him out. Think of it this way....Bush /Cheney is steak and potatoes...good basic food, Kerry Edwards is pate, cavier, brie and champagne. After a full meal of Kerry /Edwards, indigestion is setting in for the American undecideds. Its all downhill for Kerry / Edwards.

Could someone tell me what's up with this thumb pointing gesture that both Johns do? Darrell Hammond (who plays Clinton on Saturday Night Live) attributes it to Bill Clinton. His explanation is "I'm angry. But I'm not angry to the left or to the right. I'm angry in the center."

Is that the gesture BC made when he said he did not have sexual relations with that woman, ms. Lewinsky?
