Cheney wrote some notes when he came out before the debate began.
Did anyone notice than when the Silky Pony sneak a cheat peak at thos notes? His head never moved but his eyes blazed right into the paper. Check out the replays, it's amazing.

Agreed on Gwen. I was pleasantly surprised by how even her questions were. She was a lot better than Lehrer. I think that the negative feed back from the Internet on Lehrer's bias may have sharpened her up a bit.The up and coming black woman was better than that smug PBS hack Jim Lehrer. And as far as I know Gwen is liberal and I did not look forward to her moderating.

I watched the debate on C-Span and assume their coverage was the "raw video" you describe. The format for the entire debate was split screen showing both gentlemen. After about 30 minutes, I became distracted by Edwards constant movements, writing and repeated underlining, and ripping off sheets paper from his notepad. At that point, whenever Vice President Cheney spoke, I basically watched just one side of my screen, trying my best to ignore Edwards' boisterous behavior.

It isn't about looking good. It is about leading the war. Amen to that! I thought Cheney did a great job....

What we're talking about is the pointing thumb in closed fist gesture that makes the person look like they're trying to fly a remote control airplane or something. According to Finger Pointers Anonymous, it's something they suggest for their Finger Pointing addicts who find they cannot quit cold turkey.

I saw Marybeth Cahill, and Hewitt is spot - on.
Also, some guy walked off Hannity's show when Kerry's Senate record was being hammered.
They either don't know the extent of the Senate records of their ticket, or they really and truly thought nobody would bring it up.
I am perplexed.

From the article:
"The threat. The threat. The threat."
It is this last theme which led to Cheney's domination of the young and affable trial lawyer. Americans hate that their soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines are in harm's way. But voters understand the threat and the vice president repeatedly reminded them of it.
This electorate is also scornful of talking points and non-responsive answers. Over and over again, Edwards refused to answer direct questions. And when Edwards was disdainful of the Iraqi sacrifices for their freedom, Cheney tore him up. That will leave a mark.

Think of John Edwards as a baby seal who won't be ordering Canadian Club for a LONG time after this debate.

I sat on my couch for a good 30 seconds - stunned by magnitude of Cheney's tirade against Edwards in that moment. Then I laughed for at least 10. What a debate. Cheney kicked his butt.

John Kerry didn't get a bounce from Thursday he got an anchor around his neck, one he put there. John Edwards couldn't do anything to get that anchor off. We'll watch it sink Kerry for the next four weeks, regardless of Friday night's and next week's debates. Hopefully, this is according to the typical Bush "rope-a-dope" plan. It works consistently with the democrats.

I agree with you completely. Some described VP Cheney as monotone and boring. I thought he was great. He never got upset, never excited, just stated the facts.
I'd want him to have my back any day.

Edwards is just like his big brother John Kerry . .
Vice President Cheney at his lunch, cleaned his clock, and swept his floor with his ar$e.

Here is my comment from last night. On Israel: Senator Edwards asserts that Israel has the right to self-defense and self-determination. Fine. We concur.
My question for Kerry-Edwards: does Israel too have to pass a "global test" in defending itself? If it does, it will be obliterated in 20 minutes or less.
B-C should run with this aggressively in Miami, NYC, Philly, all cities with substantial Jewish populations. Anyone agree?
