Michael Moore visited Orlando today, he came to the University of Central Florida(UCF) to try and spread his lies and propaganda to college students. It was outside, on a huge green lawn. The heat was unbearable, it should not be this hot in Florida in October! I went, I didn't see any other FReepers, but was in good company with many other protestors from UCF, ROCK (which I learned stands for Rebuilding on a Conservative Kornerstone), and a couple of others from the area. Being Michael Moore, and the fact the event was held on a liberal campus, we were of course very outnumbered by the number of leftists who came to see Moore. The majority of them were people from the campus, but there were many lefties of all ages who came to see their man speak.
When I got there, there were maybe 7 of us there. Soon, more and more started showing up, and the group grew. We had around 30 overall I think. At the same time, the lefties were picking up in number, and started to notice us standing behind them. They started coming over, some laughing, some curious, some wanting to argue, but the majority of them stared and were TAKING PICTURES. It felt like we were in a zoo, on display. Not that I minded, I just smiled and held my sign high and proud (It said, by the way, "No Moore. More Bush!") I think we're going to be all over the internet tomorrow with the number of pictures these people took. We had a few people get in our face screaming, but overall the left was very civil compared to the Kerry rally we were at a week or two ago. Some just had honest questions, and wanted to talk. One of the funniest exchanges I thought, was when a man went off about "tax cuts for the rich", and how we were "rich white people" and don't care about the poor etc. This was funny, because the majority of the people there were college students...who aren't usually rich!

Moore's speech itself was one of the best parts for us. Everyone started moving foward and pushing their way into the crowd. We held our signs up high when he came up. When he was getting ready to come on stage, one of the security guys got on the mic and said "I need everyone to move back 10 feet so Michael can come through!" I nearly died. He was saying it for security reasons, but our side was cracking up.
Moore begins talking, I don't remember what he said at first. He gave a "shout-out" to "all my Republican brothers and sisters out there!", and welcomed us, and thanked us for being there, which apparently was supposed to make us mad.(?) During the first few minutes, our side yelled out a couple of things here and there, but I doubt he could hear. Finally, when he became unbearable, some of the guys on our side started up a "Bull Sh*t!" chant, that got surprisingly loud for our small group, enough for it to interupt Moore. I think this made him angry, because he kept trying to egg us on, and started talking more about Republicans after this, and making up ads for the Republican party to run that were of course making fun of us. Another chant later on was "Moor-on!" which also got very loud, where he had to stop again. We also made some loud "boos!" when he told lies about Bush, and chanted "4 more years" a few times.
I have never wanted to barf so much at a speech in my life. Moore went all out on the lies. He gave the normal DNC talking points on Bush and Iraq, the economy, and taxes. Then he started talking about Kerry, and how he doesn't flip-flop. Then making fun of Bush in the debates. He accused us of stealing the election(what's new) and encouraged all the people there to register and vote.
The biggest lie of all....."Bush is going to reinstate the draft!" I could not believe he said that. Even most democrats know now that is a lie, but he had the nerve to use that to sway voters! That man is so disgusting.
First the Lefties:
The crowd beginning to grow before the show.
"Hey, let's go make fun of those Bush people!"
"Wow! Hey Bob, real life republicans! Let's take pictures!
Some of the first people there.
They had some funny signs.
"Hey guys....let's take pictures in front of the Bush supporters and make the loser sign and thumbs down sign with our hands! Wouldn't that be so cool?"
I loved the pink Kerry sign.
Police intervention! (Actually, I didn't even notice him until I was looking at the pictures afterwards)
We got lots of media attention
I made the pink sign on the right...I got this girl to hold it for the picture.
My favorite picture. After the rally, the girl on the left came over trying to bait us with insane arguments. She starts going off about the environment and how Bush doesn't care yadayada. All the while, her leftist buddies have trashed the entire lawn and have shown no respect for the environment their party supposedly love so dearly. Great irony there!
Rumor is, Kerry is in some parade here today. Can't these people leave our state alone for more than a few days?
I wish we could have made it. Hubby ended up having to work, and I ended up working on the house/final clean up after Jeanne. Hopefully next time! Great job.
Great work!
More pictures along with some funny commentary by another of the protestors available here:

He has some funny pictures of the confused liberals. They really couldn't believe we were there!
The worst of all, Hurricane Michael hits you after Ivan, Charlie, Jean, et. al.
SOMEONE AT ONE OF THESE "60 CITY MOORE TOURS" NEEDS TO ASK MOORE WHO OFFERED HIM THE MEMOS WHICH HE TURNED DOWN AND RATHER ACCEPTED!!
GET THAT OUT!!
WHOOO HOOO!!!
Great FReep!
You guys rock my socks! :)
