Presidential Candidate section of the Michigan Absentee ballot (UPDATE: No hoax, small exposure

I'm posting this because I feel it should be seen, and because I know many people here are going to vote absentee for this upcoming election.

Here is a picture of Presidential Candidate section of the Michigan Absentee ballot, and if you take a look, you might notice something VERY wrong.

>

Now, if you look at that, notice how the arrows on the presidential candidates are not aligned....an arrow is left over at the end (pointing to the "Congressional" header), and Bush's name has no arrow. It would appear that the arrows are misaligned by having been moved too far downward.

Provided that you vote for the first arrow (next to Kerry), could this potentially mean that, because the arrows seem to be moved downward, that the arrow next to Kerry's name would actually be a vote for Bush? That someone who doesn't notice this and votes for Kerry would have their vote counted for Bush/Cheney?

To anyone else who has gotten an absentee ballot, is yours the same? Because if it is, this is very serious, and needs to be reported to the County Clerk's/whatever office. Just though I'd share.

Well, at least a blogger picked it up:

"I guess they wanna be famous."

They may, but they are more likely to be infamous.

Ironically it worked out well for Katherine Harris, and badly for Teresa Lapore. Proving that pubbies are a lot more loyal than the dimocrats.

Thanks for info.

The only way the LSM is going to give it any coverage is if they are shamed into it. I hope other bloggers pick it up.

I e-mailed Drudge last night, but I can't find it on his page; although someone thought it was there.

Hope this gets worked out. We have tons of folks from Michigan down here on the Gulf Coast helping us out. I've met several utility workers and one Red Cross worker from Michigan. Almost as many Michiganer's in Gulf Shores AL today as at the height of a typical Snowbird Season!

Designed by a DEMOC no doubt. Just so that they can make the same empty claims of confusion and disenfranchisement that they did in FL in 2000.

How are replacements sent--I thought anyone could simply pick up an absentee ballot? How do they know who picked them up?

There is nothing in the local Alma paper today about it? Interesting.

Secretary of State is Republican so is Attorney General.

I have sent the FR link to the local Republican HQ.

Why not just go to the top--we need an e-mail to go to GW Bush!! If it is going on in one county, you can be sure it will be tried in other locations, too (or am I being paranoid?)

I suppose if someone is not paying attention they could wind up voting with the wrong ballot and get disenfranchised.

I've sent it to him yesterday right after I posted.

Maybe someone can bring it up on his show, and say they will send it again if necessary.

Heck, our absentee ballots just went to the printer after dem court challenges regarding the Nader ticket.

They claimed some republicans put him up to it.

Anyway, our military may well never get a chance to vote, as the ballots will be late in arriving.

Supreme court case anyone?
