[history]
I'm posting this because I feel it should be seen, and because I know many people here are going to vote absentee for this upcoming election.
Here is a picture of Presidential Candidate section of the Michigan Absentee ballot, and if you take a look, you might notice something VERY wrong.
>
Now, if you look at that, notice how the arrows on the presidential candidates are not aligned....an arrow is left over at the end (pointing to the "Congressional" header), and Bush's name has no arrow. It would appear that the arrows are misaligned by having been moved too far downward.
Provided that you vote for the first arrow (next to Kerry), could this potentially mean that, because the arrows seem to be moved downward, that the arrow next to Kerry's name would actually be a vote for Bush? That someone who doesn't notice this and votes for Kerry would have their vote counted for Bush/Cheney?
To anyone else who has gotten an absentee ballot, is yours the same? Because if it is, this is very serious, and needs to be reported to the County Clerk's/whatever office. Just though I'd share.

I don't really know. I have a membership and just click on the email link. I know there is another email address, but I'm not sure what it is. I want to say rush@eibnet.com or rush @eib.com, but I'm just not sure. Here is the link to the site though. Click on email and see what you get.

DAILYKOS.COM is a sKerry-kissing, Soros-loving, anti-Bush screed site.
what are you talking about, please clarify
On the site, you can click on:
GeorgeSoros.com
"Kerry told us the truth on Iraq. Click here and get the facts."
"Tired of conservative hate and lies? Click here and...hold the right wing accountable."
"The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is working tirelessly to take back the majority from the Republicans in the US Senate. They watch every Senate race, every single day. Every contribution goes directly to the campaigns that need it the most. Give to the DSCC today to stop the Republicans and their right wing stranglehold on nearly ALL branches of government."
An ad for the current blockbuster, "Up the Meking Without a Paddle," or whatever it's called.
I could go on....

Contact your Secretary of State's office and your Republican Party HQ as soon as possible. The State Republican office needs to file a Legal complaint and get the ballots recalled.Good advice.

The crease appears to have no causal effect on the misalignment of the arrows. Looks to me like they would have come out that way regardless of the crease. Just my thoughts.

Nothing less than STAGGERING that ballots like this, assuming this isn't a lone fluke, could be distributed. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at any display of governmental incompetence, but when I see something like this, I am.

We are moving to recall Granholms as our Governor. Are there any supporters that are willing to take petitions around and collect signatures? She promised she would not raise our taxes if she became Governor! Right, when has anyone seen a liberal who has not raised taxes to get out of a budget problem?
Anyway, I have not seen those ballots, but, they had better get that fixed and right now!
Good work

Yes, replacement ballots may be on the way, maybe. And are we so sure that this mistake was only made in one district?
I think the State GOP should look into it, and have forwarded them the link.

Did you receive this ballot recently in Washtenaw County? Apparently other counties have the same error and new absentee ballots had been printed.
According to comments at DailyKos, reprints have been sent:

Daily Kos is a hard left blog. Since the CBS scandal I would be highly suspicious of any info that is only verified by a Leftist blog. Anyone in Michigan should still contact their Sec of State and State Republicans to see that they are aware of the problem

Actually the only verification of "The replacement ballots are on the way" is from a Hard Left Blog. Anyone in Michigan should still contact their State Republican Party and the Sec of State (or whomever oversees elections in MI) and bring this forceably to their attention.
This "oh this is much ado about nothing" mindset is why the Democrats have prepared such a massive election fraud effort. They know that the average voter simply will refuse to believe anyone would engage in such garbage tactics and accuse the victims of "paranoia" You have to fight back when you see this fraud. The 2000 election was decided by 527 votes, The Democrats remember that. I cannot understand why Republicans do not.

Easy for a leftist site to say that it's being corrected, when obviously they have an interest in it staying confused.
