The rally took place at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio, today. Sean Hannity interviewed several people who were there. The number of people who had tickets was over 60,000, and even more showed up. Hannity said it was the largest political rally in Ohio's history, and one of the largest ever. Enjoy the pics:

Well, let's not count our chickens before they're hatched. Even though I'm registered in Colorado (probably a sure Bush win), I've still already requested my absentee ballot.
And... in last weekend's newspaper, I saw a full-page ad from Republicans Abroad, giving information to help people not living in the U.S. register to vote. Fantastic!
Our local Cincinnati cBS affiliate Channel 12, WCPO tried to spin it. I think the reporter was trying to get his Dan Rather jr. badge....I told my wife to turn that crap OFF right now! hahaha

60K in a swing state? this is looking better and better . . . and GWB doesn't have to go to a tanning salon before the debate, either. heck, for that matter, GWB probably wouldn't get caught dead in a tanning salon.
Interesting news from Connecticut. Even if the Dems don't vote for GWB, I'd be satisfied if they were so discouraged that they stayed home on election day.
What's gotta hurt Kerry is that he's still GOT to keep pouring money and advertising into a state that he's not going to win. Now, with even Oregon on the Left Coast coming back into play, he's got to divide his forces even further.
It's going to get worse for his campaign if they have to keep spreading themselves out to stem the tide.
I hear that he's pulled advertising from LA, AZ, MO and a couple of other states, whereas deep-pockets GWB is contesting just about every state in an effort to attract the maximum amount of the popular vote that he can so as to head off a repeat of the popular vote/electoral college issue that we had in '00.

I'm seeing something of the same in the south SF bay area.
The Republican booth at our local end-of-summer weekend festival was busy all weekend. They were handing out forms for registration and absentee ballots. Lots of BC04 signs and bumper stickers were being handed out. I saw many people carrying them all over the place.
The democRAT booth on the other aisle was mostly dead all weekend. I saw very few people stop by, nowhere near the number at the Republican booth.
I've never seen anything like what's happening this year.

As supporting proof this election is over, no one to date has really challenged the findings of the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth. David Broder et al can claim they have debunked the Swifties, but they can not point to any specific conclusion of Unfit for Command that they have "debunked." Senator Kerry has been identified not as a war hero but as a cowardly braggart. After all, even common sense would recognize that three scratches do not equate to completing only four months and 12 days of a 12 month tour. Perhaps, out-of-awareness Senator Kerry has similarly self-diagnosed himself in that one of his boats is named "Scaramouche."
The Democrats chose a man they didn't know. We still don't know about his health history--only 18 months ago he was diagnosed with cancer of the prostate. We have been assured he is doing fine but his medical records have not been made public. In the meantime, on TV tonight besides being wind burned he definitely was dehydrated and lacking any real animation. I also note that others have reported he needs supplemental high caloric beverages to keep his weight up. Most assuredly, flying a great deal causes both dehydration and edema in many people; however, it would be reassuring to have his medical records open for all to see. We have never had a President with cancer: Bob Dole had a radical prostatectomy five years before he ran for President.
We also don't know much about the Senator and His wife's financial conditions and interests. The tax returns and usual financial disclosures we are accustomed to get voluntarily from Presidential candidates have not been forthcoming. Essentially, Theresa Heinz Kerry believes this is none of the electorate's business. This is doubly shocking since she is the 389th richest person in the United States and must have wide holdings in equities that are surely affected by public policy.
Senator Kerry remains the mystery candidate. No doubt this is part of his problem.

Indeed, something IS happening. I'm in New York City and I'm seeing Bush bumper stickers all over the place all of a sudden. Particularly one that says 'I stand with our President, George W. Bush'. I don't think I've ever seen this many bumper stickers for a republican candidate. Very few Kerry ones also.
Though I do appreciate the Kerry ones when we're looking to play a nice game of 'Cut off the commie sympathizer' or 'Try to make that left turn on my watch.' Both can be greatly entertaining. :D

You know... January 21, 2001 (is that the right date?) was one of the happiest days of my life, after all that Clinton corruption. I taped the inauguration.
I think a trip to D.C. next January, to show my children their heritage (they were both born in the U.S.), just might be in order. Plus, I would love to be there. :)
That's standard operating procedure when the president is in a crowd and greeting people. I love watching the agents. Can't always spot them all, but the ones you can see are so interesting in terms of how they surround the president.
