She [Vice President Dianne Brandi] also turned down the latest spot from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth because it "accuses Kerry of treason, a crime punishable by death."

The body of the story is about the attack ads on Bush being rejected!
I disagree with FoxNews justification for refusing to run this ad, and they may have a legal problem with the refusal. As a practical matter, I don't think the refusal hurts the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth cause or case.
As for O'Reilly, you'll get a charge out of this if you didn't already read it ...
O'Reilly states he is pro-gun control, against the death penalty, for civil unions, for gay adoption (as a last resort instead of state custody) and mindful of the environment. But when asked if he would vote for President Bush, O'Reilly left open the possibility he would vote for John Kerry.http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/09/23/60minutes/main645202.shtml <--"I've known Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," he tells Wallace
O'Reilly will tell you he's not a conservative. And, in some areas, he's not.
How about sounds kind of like censorship.
Fox probably senses that Kerry & his thugs will come after whoever after his loss in November through meaningless litigation.
Actually, the new ads use Kerry's own words against him. I don't find them annoying, but rather, truthful. Kerry stated, under oath during his testimony before the Senate in 1971, that he me with Vietnamese communists. Kerry's own words are more damning than firsthand observations by others. The media has passed off this observations as being obscured by the fog of war and distant memories over 35 years ago.
CNN paid FOX's asking price for ad space?
Fox management no doubt realizes this, and is taking the opportunity to bolster their "Fair and Balanced" credentials.
Your local cable station is putting them there....bastards.
Ill help you in this case.
Censorship is a process at which a govt entity prohibits a person or group from freely voicing their difference of opinion.
Do tell how Fox News, a private news organization, is practicing censorship when it is rejecting advertisements that dont meet their own company standards?
While I understand you want these ads to be seen, I do too, I cringe when people on my side confuse censorship with private business rejecting services based on standards set(in this case, marketing).
OKAY :)

Fine don't air the commercial. Investigate what is says. Start by contacting Judicial Watch, as they got the FBI documents through FOIA. Come on FOX. Do your work! Do your jobs!! Also too, check Kerry's testimony in the Senate committee, where Kerry clearly says he met with "both sides" & neither of the sides mentioned were the United States.
One more thing, Al Gore's speech was aired on FOX a bunch of times. "GEORGE BUSH BETRAYED THIS COUNTRY". Gore made the same claim, "betrayal of the country" & it got air time. Just because Gore looks like a crazed lunatic as he makes the claim, doesn't wipe out what he said.
Count on it.
Spell it with me...M-O-N-E-Y
Both of you are correct. When Sean went out of his way to try and get Zell not to say treason or to retract it, I could smell lawyer warning through my radio.
"Fox probably senses that Kerry & his thugs will come after whoever after his loss in November through meaningless litigation."
"
That's what I imagine happened. They could get caught up in a nasty and expensive defamation suit if they aired an ad that accused anyone of treason. I haven't seen the ad, so I can't comment specifically on it. But I would imagine that the lawyers nixed any airing of it for that reason."
