Hi everyone. My Dad has had two strokes in the last few days. He is only 64 years old. So far, he is very weak and confused but is still able to talk. The doctor is warning of the strong possibility of more strokes with progressing severity.
Will you please pray for my dad and my family as we deal with this?
Thank you all. It means so much.
God bless you and your family, Texas flower. My sincere sympathy goes out to you.
Peace to you.
My sympathies for your loss. What a beautiful story of his last hours, surrounded by friends and loved ones and voting for President Bush! This story w/pictures should be sent to the WH and President Bush, I'm sure that he will mourn w/you and us on the loss of your father.
Oh, Tammy, how blessed your family is to have such a wonderful man as a father.
God Bless all of you for helping him fulfill his dying wish.
I am choking up with tears...tears of happiness that he got to do this.
Bless you all, sweetie.
God bless your family. My prayers continue for your all.
Prayers for you and your family. You have my sincere sympathy on the death of your dad. I'm sure he was very proud of all of you, too!!
God bless you and your family, Tammy.
The pictures of your father voting are sooo touching.
Thank you for sharing your account of your father's last hours. He's in heaven now!
I lost my father some years ago but the greatest loss I ever experienced was the loss of my dear thirteen-year-old son, Nathan, in 1988.
Last year I wrote and recorded a song in a loving tribute to him. I'll send you a CD copy because I don't have a way to host the mp3 file of it at the moment or I'd share it with all. Send me a private FReep mail with your mailing address if you want a copy.
Here are the lyrics for my song "WHEN YOU WERE HERE":
First Verse:
Are you that star beside the moon,
your smile could shine that bright;
I talk to you, like you're still here, sometimes alone at night;
I thought the years might ease the pain, but it's only tucked away;
until a dream or memory brings you back from yesterday;
Chorus:
The world was good when you were here;
but you took my smile and you left a tear;
Oh, what I'd give to hold you near;
Oh, the world was good when you were here;
Second Verse:
I was something then, and a lot less now;
and the difference was you;
and a broken heart can't find the words;
for a love this deep and true;
Chorus
Third Verse:
Yes, it has an everlasting feel; like it passes beyond time;
So, my solid faith says, it won't be long;
'til again I see you shine;
Yes, my solid faith say, it won't be long;
'til again I see...you...shine
May God Bless You and Your Family - Randy

Prayers...
Prayers of strengh offered up. Bless you and your family.
There at my Savior's side, Heaven is my home
I shall be glorified, Heaven is my home
There are the good and blest, those I love most and best
And there, I, too, shall rest, Heaven is my home.

So sad for you all, but happy that your dad was able to spend his last hours doing the things he wanted to do. God bless.

Prayers for you and yours.
Prayers for your loss.
Honey, I am so sorry to hear this. I lost my Dad in '88 and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of or talk to my Dad.
I am so very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
To texasflower, pkswan:May your Father rest in peace. May God bless y'all and your families.
I am glad your Father got to fulfill his wish and could vote for President Bush before he passed away.
I can tell that must have made him and you happy for that.
