Even Alister Campbell aplogist for the UK governement and a supporter of muting the TV station during the invasion of Iraq now agrees how important the station is to free speech.

A friend of mine recently returned from Iraq saying that Al Jezeera often made it to the scene of dead American Soldiers before the Americans did. He went on to say that it is common knowledge amongst our troops that Al Jezeera is the mouthpiece for and insrument of the insurgency.
