DRUDGE SIREN:
CBS Guard Documents Traced to Texas Kinko's...
WASH POST: Documents allegedly written by deceased officer that raised questions about Bush's service with Texas National Guard bore markings showing they had been faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's copy shop in Abilene, Texas... Developing...
She's from Austin, about 300 miles SE of Abilene.
Abiline is Burkett Country...
True there is only the one kinkos for 100+ miles.
You know that's true; it's against the law to use a dead person's paper without his permission.
They're probably punching holes in the hull as fast as they can.
Every Kinkos I've been to has a signin sheet for the computers, as well as logins on the computers themselves. If someone happened to be around that area, they might want to stop in and maybe inquire on how to sign onto the computer. If they are presented with the sign in book, they might want to find an excuse to look through it... It would be interesting to see who had signed in for the computers there. Very interesting.
Kinkos is just the conduit. However, doing it at a public place and not mailing them shows up to me as a sign of frantic and panic on the part of the person. The DNC may have had the "form" of the memos weeks ago as reported on "The Prowler" (I'm certainly not a reporter) but this final faxing from Texas at a Kinkos really says to me that the source of the fax was in a real hurry.
I mean, why not overnight them? No fax marking and CBS gets a clean shot at continuing to say they protect the documents and how they got them.
Whoever the source is got very sloppy when it was time to pull the trigger on this deal.
OMG! Annie said that? LOL
Negative. The Prowler first reported AFTER CBS aired the story (look for "Anatomy of a Forgery"). CBS received the material about 2 weeks ago (a week beofre airing), send the docs to the WH, and the WH returned them (copied them in an e-mail "to reporters") without comment. USA TOday got a set of them AFTER CBS aired the story. USA Today may have received two sets, one from the WH, as part of the e-mail BEFORE CBS aired the story, but certainly a receipt of a set of 6 documents AFTER CBS aired the story.
The DNC and Kerry campaigns had the 6 (by now, 7) week "heads up," and scuttlebutt is that some people in those organizations were suspicious of authenticity.
Dude, you are the new Buckhead.
I remembered reading those posts, and just went searching for them. Then when I came back here, I saw your post.
This was from the thread where we were waiting for Rather to make his statement. From the mouths of the pajamarazzi:
Nice work, FReeper.To: ZGuy
While we are waiting....
I saw one of the docs I download (PDF) had the CBS fax info across the very top...I can't find it again now. It had a date/time. Did anybody else see this? The docs on CBS' site now don't have it.

So they get Rather on CONSPIRACY to commit interstate WIRE FRAUD!
NOW you have it get the Feds in it....
"Sean HANNITY"
Not THE Sean HANNITY! I think we'll have to settle for some lesser source like the WaPo.
We need to start innundating CBS with faxes for John Kerry to sign a 180.
YOu beat me to it!
I got lucky, that's all.
Wonder if Texas has a forgery statute allowing the police to confiscate those Kinko's harddrives. Or is there a federal statute applicable here, as the fraud was faxed accross state lines?
Or are DNC operatives over there right now, using an electronic shedder to turn all the pertinant data into random ones and zeros?
A bit more seriously - you can bet some amatueur and profession sleuths are visiting that particular Kinkos right now.
[Whoops - this entire line of speculation is likely wrong, as the forged docs were likely only faxed - not created - at Kinkos.]
Someone needs to get to that machine before a Lib takes after it with a baseball bat.
I am convinced the DNC is in on this, we just need hard evidence on top of the circumstantial (like the coordinated attacks "Fortunate Son").
Thanks....I've been away from computer so haven't read anything but your ping, but before I forget I wanted to report I did have Hannity and Colmes on and even Carl Bernstein admitted at the end that IF "the candidate" (Kerry) is shown to be involved in this it is a big story.
We all know how he guards is bone, Watergate, as the biggest story of all time, so for him to say that much is a big story in itself.
Off to catch up. (Hang on, before I click "post", I'm seeing the headline of the thread. Are you saying the number is to Kinkos? And CBS "missed" this?)
I left my drivers license on a machine at kinkos a couple weeks ago. had to make a copy for work...
no, this has nothing to do with anything.
I don't own pajamas. Will my robe and bunnyslippers do?
Thanks.
