FREEPERS WANTED FOR ACTION

Posted on 09/12/2004 11:10:57 AM PDT by jdluntjr

WANTED – FREEPERS FOR ACTION--- NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

The election is only about eight weeks away now. Freepers have already demonstrated their value.

I'm looking for some freepers that want to join me in getting our message out to the uncommitted voters. It's critical that we work diligently to show those who have not made a commitment that George W. Bush is the person to lead us the next four year and that John Kerry is “Unfit for Command.”

In a nutshell we will orchestrate a letter to the editor campaign to show why George Bush should be President and why John Kerry is a disaster in the making. In spite of the mainstream media's attacks on Dick Cheney, he is absolutely right when he says this is a critical choice for the future especially the war on terror.

We are looking for people, with an interest in helping to coordinate this effort.

We will need some good researchers who can put together concise well documented talking points.

We could use some writers who know how to coin a nice phrase as well. We need some strategists, maybe some former campaign experience to help focus the issues that will do the most good.

Most of all we need people who will write the Letters to the Editor and get the word out. We will really be looking for folks in the “battleground” states who will really push to get letters published.

Why write Letters to the Editor? It's an easy point of access to mainstream media's ability to communicate to a lot of people in a short time. We still have to try to reach those who are not “web savvy” with the message.

For more information see: FREEPERS UNITED

If you want to participate, let me know.

By the way, when you do get your letters published. Please share, it will encourage people to keep trying.

Thanks

John D. Lunt Jr.

Found that site, check your mail. Get back to me on the possible trouble with a link to them via freep mail. Maybe contacting the site boss Mr. Robinson would be a good idea here? I`m sure he would know about that.

Kerry is lucky he still has his U.S. citizenship.

True. But first and foremost is keeping him from the presidency. Wonder what's in those remaining 100 pages of documents he won't release?

"But sometimes there's a cost. Our friends of 20 years won't have anything to do with us"

Tell me about it. Most of my family and so called friends are of the liberal head in the sand persuasion. They think I'm a conservative whacko because I bother to speak out...so be it, I don't miss one of them.

You get any feed back on my link suggestion? It seems like a pretty effective tool.

My husband does this all the time..
Yesterday he saw a woman with a kerry pin on at Target and you can guess who got disgusted and walked away when he started talking to me about kerry.

I was in the hospital last week and Freeped all day and a few times all night. I talked to over 40 people (I stopped keeping track at 40), all registered voters and most seemed to be Kerry supporters. These were Physicians, X-ray techs, food service, custodians, nurses, almost everyone who worked on the wing of the hospital where I was. Just a NOTE: The PINK Ladies are Bush voters, all the way!

I started all conversations, after Hospital business, of course, by asking what they thought of the War in Iraq. Every one of them was against the war, thought it was a waste of Men, time, and money. I asked them what they thought we were fighting for. They had no idea, something about no WM D's, no U.N., no allies which just opened the door for the truth.

I did not tell them anything, just asked a lot of questions. Would you rather fight terrorist downtown here or let our ALL volunteer Military fight it over in Iraq. I asked who has the right to protect American citizens, the President or the U.N. I then asked did they know how many countries were with us in Iraq, fighting. I asked a few more questions: All but one person changed their mind, and that one refused to even listen.

I also print out a few FR threads and leave anywhere I go that has a place to sit, gas station, Dentist office, Dr.'s office, benches outside grocery stores and on the bulletin boards.

My daughter, 17 and an AFROTCJR member will be Freeping Laundromats and car washes this weekend.

Oh good. I'm also pleased to see that this thread is still active. Let's all do our part in whatever way we can.

I've been emailing articles that I find here to many, many people for months, then I always add, pass this on, to the email. Hopefully, some undecided will read one of the articles & change their mind.

That's nothing new and NOT a lesson I need to be taught (not that YOU were trying to.) I've had people alienate themselves from me for my conservative and political viewpoints and activism since college.

I've not had too many problems with that. I have several quite liberal friends with whom I am able to carry on reasonable debate. I sense it's more of the Bush haters, not just those left of center that is the problem. Add to that Kerry's disasterous campaign and they're not in much of a mood to debate right now.
