Meltdown...
Joe Lockhart on CNN saying that the election is not going to be decided by a bunch of RIGHT-WING KOOKS (Swift-boat vets).

Reminds me of the line where they asked Ronald Reagan didn't he ever feel he'd made a mistake.
He said "Yes, I used to be a Democrat."

We're ahead by double digits AND WE'RE NOT TURNING BACK!!!!!
Folks, this is nothing if not 1988 redux. Bush 41 went into that convention 8 points behind and came out 8 points ahead, and never looked back. Kerry has only the debates left to try to throw the Hail Mary and pull this out.

Bush gets ANOTHER 10 point bounce in the next couple of days. And a week after that NY Times forced to report "NY, Mass. and Calif. Seen Leaning Toward Bush; Kerry Claims 'We Can Still Carry the District of Columbia'"

I think W's gonna take 38-40 states.

The DUers are in total confusion they can't even find the poll on the Time website. They keep pulling up Zogby, Polling Report and the last Time poll before this one.

Campaign 2004: Bush Opens Double-Digit Lead TIME Poll: Among likely voters, 52% would vote for President George Bush, while 41% would vote for John Kerry and 3% would vote for Ralph NaderThis election has the potential to be a re-run of the 1988 Bush-Dukakis contest.
I recall a liberal high school teacher telling us back them, "I'm voting for Dukakis, but I know he'll lose big-time."
To: governsleastgovernsbest
Lets enjoy this moment but lets also remember we have almst two months to go until the election. Let work to make this lead EVEN BIGGER!!

Well that's a good point. Don't get me wrong I'm pleased as punch to see this. But I really do expect it to tighten up between now and 11/02...I would be stunned (happy, but stunned) if it did not.
To: RockinRight
I guess folks are starting to see the real John Kerry, no matter how the DNC try and re-package him.
