i know that... i was using your comment to reply to those idiotic, lying protesters...
Kerry don't even have a hat, just bull.
"yes--she was interviewed and hired as a democrat..."
Sounds pretty risky, but guess it's turning out ok.
(Guess I just don't trust democrats that much.)
I was half watching while chatting and one chatter said Kerry placed his hand over his face and faltered for a minute . I think he can't handle the stress.
Can I ask for forgiveness?
I made a comment earlier about the speech. After watching it again, I realized I was wrong. I was a great speech. I think my perception was tinted by the fact I had a horrible day at work.
Americans want a humble committed man to be their leader. They don't want a prima donna. They want someone that'll look 'em in the eye and tell it to 'em straight.
GW is comfortable in his own skin. He swaggers cuz he's a Texan. He's blunt because he takes after his mama. You gotta love a man that ain't afraid of who he is.
Ron Silver is WONDERFUL. Praising Bush about "the morality thing."
He's doing so great too!
But like my granpa said don't do nuthin' when a jerk is makin a fool out of himself.
Ron Silver-Moral certitude...in American tradition
Wow...I just love him. This man is brilliant and a patriot.
"An acceptance speech is NOT where a president tells you how much whatever proposed will or won't cost."
So it's too much to hope that the candidate will restrain himself from promising far more than he can possibly deliver?
Particularly when so many current issues are still unresolved?
Sorry, what I heard of the speech still disappointed and annoyed me, my true opinion and I am sticking to it.
I have been to several local and state conventions.
I do find them tedious, so much time spent glad-handing and so little on actually giving issues and viewpoints a fair hearing.
The level of shallow feel good clamor here has also become disappointing.
Not to worry, our party is becoming more and more managed from the top, so much more like the Dem's.
This has become very clear from the last three state convention I have attended.
We mere citizens will not be required to show up for anything but the voting soon enough.
I wonder if there will be any discernible difference in the parties at that time?
The frequency of "Hey, Arnie (Guiliani, Zell, etc) gave a single great speech, lets elect HIM in '08 leaves me questioning the sincerity of principle over party by numerous posters.
Let's see if the scum media will question him on any of this...
I won't guarantee that was the reason...but it makes sense.
Why is it the word "Massingil" comes to mind whenever Douglas Brinkley come on television.
Perhaps some of us do care about the party Richard.
What a lying sack of shiite!!!
I said exactly the same thing on the other thread.
Notice that none of the Buchanan/Tancredo anti-Hispanics are participating in this thread. Further proof that their real intent is to sabotage President Bush.
