Newsmax had a similar article a day or two ago. When I see it in a legitimate news source, then I'll believe it.

BAD idea. Stay away from the medals, and focus on the Testimony, Cambodia, and Paris.

HMMMMMM How long do you think it will take for this to ever get on the mainstream media? This will stay on Newsmax and disappear into the media black hole if we don't get it to the mainstream media.

Um, I don't see where the Navy is doing that.

Do we have a formal/official public statement from the Navy, other than just a spokesman comment to NewsMax?

Kerry's campaign has repeatedly cited the Navy as the ultimate authority on the candidate's war record, saying they wouldn't have awarded him medals he didn't deserve. Guess Kerry never read The Three Little Pigs.

This is a follow up from JW's request to the Defense Department

The Navy is looking at the medals, not the Bush administration. The Navy can look into whatever they want, especially if it involves problems with Naval records that may or may not have been intentionally at issue.

Kerry was vetted as a potential running mate for The Slick One in '92, right? So who's behind all of these leaks and damaging stories.
ANSWER: the Hildabeast!
To: montag813
Your comment is well placed, BUT the issue of Kerry's credibility is important. The Navy also has a stake in this as well -- their image is on the table as well.
While I agree that the focus should be MAINLY on the treason that Kerry committed after Nam, his credibility and the credibility of the medal process is also of major issue.

"Do we have a formal/official public statement from the Navy, other than just a spokesman comment to NewsMax?" I give as much credence to Newsmax as I do the digital poop-scooper Salon.
