Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Associates (FMA), a Republican polling and strategic consulting firm based in Alexandria, VA, has just completed their second likely voter survey with interviews conducted ONLY in the 19 battleground states.
The battleground states are defined as those in which the Bush and Kerry campaigns have been focusing their paid media efforts throughout the campaign.
Nearly 6 in 10 likely voters claim that they that they recently saw, read or heard something about the TV ad “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth” released and began airing in several key battleground states questioning the truthfulness of Senator Kerry’s Vietnam War record.
Among those who claimed to have seen, read or heard something about the ad, a majority overall and among undecided voters said it would not impact their vote either way.
However to the extent it did impact voting intentions, it was a negative for Sen. Kerry by as much as nearly a 3 to 1 margin.
“Make no mistake -- controversy surrounding potential “dirty laundry” still sells in American politics and this is a sterling example of it. But most surprising is that despite Sen. McCain’s swift and very public repudiation of this ad and the lingering questions on the veracity of the charges, it still ends up being a net negative for Kerry – especially among crucial undecided voters.
In a close race where every little bit counts, Kerry can’t afford to sustain too many minor hits like this.” said Tony Fabrizio, who served as chief pollster for Bob Dole’s ’96 Presidential campaign.

As soon as this falls off a tad it will be time for the POW/MIA families to hit him.
Some of the story may not make clear sense to the average person, but they can understand that Nixon was NOT president when Kerry had that searing memory of being in Cambodia.
God help me, I had forgotten about them- you are right, that will open another unhealed wound. Kerry and his camp were utter fools to make this upcoming election a referendum on the Vietnam War, considering their role in it.

THAT I find hard to believe.
Kerry is absolutely not qualified to be President because he trashed the troops when they were still fighting the war in Vietnam. His actions were demoralizing for the fighting troops and it provided aid and comfort for the enemy. You know that there is picture of John Kerry in the "Vietnam War Museum" as an attribute for his anti-war actions that they considered helpful for them.

Liars have a hard time keeping track of the lies they tell. That's why many don't trust a person who doesn't drink.
Can you imagine how screwed up Kerry would get under the influence of a few beers, or glasses of whine? ;)

I hope our side does not go overboard with the bashing( even if it is truth telling ) and create a backlash effect and drive voters away from Bush.
Perhaps Springsteen and the Useful Idiots Tour can turn this around for Kerry. ;'
What BS!! I guess it all depends on what the meaning of "with" is. If it means under his command, then this statement might be true. But these guys served in the boats that accompanied John Kerry, so that does mean "with" in my book.
The other thing is, are all these guys registered Republicans? I didn't think they were. I thought some of them were Democrats, and still don't want John Kerry to be president.
When the segment was over and had gone long, Sean admitted that he had been on IM during the interview. That explains why we got the benefit of the Doctor's evidence against Kerry.
