AWESOME PARTY Great Fun! Thanks Jim Robinson, Sheila, and Chris for traveling to the Seattle area to visit with us.
Whoo Hoo!
Wonderful time!
Great FReepers
Delicious BBQ!
Lib,,
Your parties are going to get famous!!!
Soon you'll have 'em coming from afar, and yes you need an airstrip, LOL.
I so wanted to come up, but looking forward to better year next year to participate in a great party! And Freeper camaraderie (sp).
Where did you hide Marmema? Or she hid from the camera, LOL.
Cyber, you don't look old enough to have those kiddies! Must have started young. Darling little freepers, tho.
Congrats, Libertina for leading well the Puget Sound Freepers. A port in the storm of left-wing Seattle.
I got a couple of you!
I'll get them up ASAP.
pinging a few NY-NJ-CT Tri-State FRiends to this thread...
Well....
I had to replace pipe when I got home! Hot Water heated intake and output pipe sprung leaks.....
Thanks!
You can see my back as I talk to Publius and JimRob. What can I say, Seattle has not been kind to my pretty face. ;-)
Between rebuilding my deck and my truck, I'm sawdusty and greasy, and I always look like a train wreck.
But I had a good time.
Whaddya talkin', eh? Dat's Clemenza on da left next to Libertina, Publius, Chad, and JimRob himself!
You do have a pretty face, Clemenza. We'll make certain you get it on camera next time ;)
Gotta admit, after 25 years here, Puget Sound is a stunningly beautiful area.
Too bad we can only actually see it two months a year!
Ok Clemenza..... here ya go!
CRABMEAT QUICHE
1 1/2 cups crabmeat, fresh or canned
1 TBLS chopped celery
1 TBLS chopped onion
2 TBLS finely chopped parsley (dried is fine too)
2 TBLS sherry (cooking sherry will work)
Pastry for one-crust 9 inch pie
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups cream or half & half
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper (I use black and nobody notices) =)
Remove bits of shell and cartilage from crabmeat. Mix with celery, onion, parsley and sherry. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 450. (Yes, FOUR fifty.)
Line pie plate with pastry and bake 5 min.
Sprinkle inside of partly baked pastry shell with crabmeat mixture.
Combine eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper and strain over the mixture in the pie shell.
Bake 15 minutes, reduce oven temp to 350 (you were worried, huh?) and bake until a knife inserted one inch from pastry edge comes out clean, about 10 min. longer.
Don't worry too much about the time. Different ovens are just different! =) If you love crab and you love quiche, this will do the trick!
Hmmm, didn't that happen after the Christmas party too? But then they were frozen? Sorry to hear that Cyber, but the amazing this is that you are a computer genius, BBQ chef, AND an ok plumber! (Not to mention an excellent dad) Mrs. Cyber is lucky to have you!
Awww, c'mon now... ;-)
I'll keep checking back here to see if any additional pix are posted. What a thrill to meet JimRob and his family, huh? Zelig and I had the honor and privilege back in 2000 during the FReeper Inaugural Ball in DC. The power of this website still never fails to amaze me...
Publius has already refused to go - mule that he is - but I feel he can be persuaded. ;) LOL
Anybody have some spare rope? =)
Nite, doodles & sweet dreams :) Lovely picture! Glad to see you Nutmeg - we had a great time with some awesome FReepers!
We'll miss you when you head for Idaho.
