Why Kerry Will Lose the Election
SFGATE.com ^ | 08/09/2004 | Adam Sparks

John Kerry will lose this election, and he will do so decisively. The defeat will go down as perhaps the only thing this candidate has ever done decisively.

We've just seen a four-day infomercial called the Democratic National Convention, where everyone put on his or her smiley face; Democrats were having a love fest. It was a sea change from their previous campaigning: For starters, they wouldn't even directly criticize the president -- all that vile Bush bashing of the last few months turned into gentle speeches with nary a mention of him. Secondly, the vehemently pacifist and rabidly anti-war party did a 180 degree turn around and created the most militaristic show since Eisenhower landed in Europe.

Kerry, saying he's "reporting for duty," greeted Americans in the most macho, Republican kind of way with a crisp salute. Then Kerry's fellow Vietnam veterans, who, like him, served on the U.S. Navy's "swift boat" patrol craft, swarmed the podium. Finally, Kerry's war-hero service ...

I undersand and share your concerns, but don't forget that things are moving in our direction, too.

Let me give you just two of many examples:

Population has shifted toward the red states. IIRC, Bush has an electoral edge of something like 17 points just from people moving to Texas and other states that are as safe as a babe in mother's arms for him.

Bush has only just begun to run ads, and only just begun to stump. Both his ad dumps and his stump speeches are to be feared by any opponent.

One last thing: We can all sit around and convince ourselves that the American people are going to be bamboozled by Kerry because they still don't know the real JFK like we do. Don't believe it for a second. Kerry is an also-ran, and the more he's seen the worse it will get for him. Don't worry, work hard and we'll win this thing. And ask everyone you meet "Who are you voting for" and educate and/or recruit accordingly.

The theme of 2004 is "It's Kerry, stupid!"

A lot of older, more Conservative folks, who know more history, have died, or won't be able to make it to the polling places because of disabilities.

The majority of such folks are people who grew up as New Dealers and have voted D for 50 and 60 years.

I Know--"This Woun't Count,"--BUT I WANT to MAKE THIS POINT!!; It takes HUNDREDS of Times MORE SKILL to FLY an F102 than to Drive a "A 'Swift Boat!!'"!!

"W" may NOT have been in "Combat," but he was "On Combat Alert", & he was as "Combat Ready" as was ANY OTHER "Cold War Soldier!!" Our "Combat Ready Reserves" were--& ARE--as "Combat Ready" as our Current Soldiers!!

Mr Kerry's (DUBIOUS) "Vietnam Adventures" have been WELL Documernted.

There are SERIOUS DOUBTS about his "Behavior!!" Mr Kerry's "Post-Vietnam Antics" have ALSO Been "Suspect!!"

AS Others Have Noted;--JOHN KERRY is NOT FIT FOR ANY "EXECUTIVE POSITION!!"

If our "Nation" Elects Mr Kerry to our "Chief Executive" Position, We can Expect the Rapid & Complete Demise of our Nation!! 22

To all of you, especially those who have expressed grave worries that Kerry will win:

GET OFF YOUR DUFFS!

Monday mori=ning, call your county GOP and volunteer for Bush.

If Kerry gets near you, freep his sorry ass.

If any Kerry surrogate gets near you, freep their sorry ass.

See my tagline for instructions!

Apologies to anyone who has already done these things, but listen up! If this one is close, we need to work for it. If it ends up being a Dubya landslide, the mandate will be even bigger. But we have to get out there.

From here on out, if I see anybody on this site bitching about a possible Kerry win, or him being ahead in the polls or whatever, I will ask what they have done for the Bush campaign, and they had better have an answer or I will pants them in front of God and everybody. You've been warned!

Here in Boston everyone knows we were sold a bill of goods, with businesses losing money.

Before the Dem Convetion, CBS Radio News ran spots touting all the money Boston businesses would earn from the convention. Soon after, they ran spots telling about the business lost. Now, before the Republican Convention, they're running spots about how much business NYC establishments are expected to lose.

I'm sure NYC is large enough that the impact (more or less) may not be as critical as it was in Boston, but CBS is already spinning negative press about the Convention.

I had a Dim glumly tell me that his vote "won't count" in Texas. Especially after the redistricting. "Texas is a lock for W," he said. "That's why neither party runs ads here." I don't believe it. Few cities are as rabidly activist as Austin, TX. Probably trying to lull me into skipping election day. Regardless of the odds, whether Bush is up or down by 10 points, VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

And don't forget to pray!
Besides the election, I pray for the President and our leaders to get a good night's sleep and for the troops to be protected, sheilded from all harm.

He really should channel through Edwards the Baby Jesus. After everything else he's done, John F*ckin' would want to corner the "born again" vote. Yep, he's that cynical. ;-)
