In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

Good, I was hoping this was posted. Guess what the Kerry caampaign REALLY meant when Edwards said "if you want to get to know John Kerry, spend 3 minutes with the men who served" was "only pay attention to the fellow vets Kerry parades before you"
Can't imagine how a campaign that has a LAWYER for a VP candidate could think of threatening LAWSUITS to deny non-Kerry approved vets their right to freedom of speech.

They are just handing their pals in the media, who do not wish to run the ad that could harm their candidate/savior anyway, an excuse. When questioned about their bias for not running the ads, the media can now say they didn't run it because they didn't want to be sued.
And they call Bush Hitler.

They didn't seem to mind Farhenheit 911. The Democrats have been getting many talking points from that film and even Kerry picked up on some of them today (President Bush in the classroom).

If we think we've seen lawsuits before, just wait till Kerry loses.

Wonder if Whoopi Goldberg, Linda Ronstandt, Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen, et. al. will protest this censorship move by JohnJohn.

That's what I gathered. The explanation was a little jumbled.

So rather than going after the veterans on the truth in the ads they will circumvent them by going after tv stations, so sad really, I guess the consitution is really dead.

The DNC people should just call this move Operation FOOTBULLET. Trying to muffle this ad only adds to public curiosity. hehe
They can't win either way.
Even if kerry is reduced to filing a lawsuit to stop this ad from airing, even if he succeeds with his threats to TV stations in making them not air the ad/s, he loses to the truth.
Just saw a headline on Drudge that military support for W is 58 percent; for kerry, 35 percent. What are those 35 percent thinking?

Swift vet on Medved says Kerry fled a fire zone when other boats were under attack.
That's what war heroes do, I guess.

Yup. Still early enough for a few more F' ups... He's getting good at it. Almost... too... good... ;0)

This can't be true. Are you sure Kerry is threatening to sue? Nobody could be that stupid. This has got to be some kind of bizarro rumor...
In fact, this is so great I'm only worried that it isn't really true. Hmmm...
To: mcg1969
There is no such thing as "libel" or "slander" when it comes to PUBLIC FIGURES. Especially John Kerry.
This warning is bogus.
I hope it draws more attention to the ad.
