So many changes. I am sure that they are great. But I can't navigate FR like I used to. I feel so helpless, like John Kerry in a real war zone. Things are indented, and it looks like something is reading my mind (or trying to).
Am I alone? This is not a complaint, just a global obesrvation.

Seems like we go through this every few months. To be fair thoguh it's not as bad as "THE GOODLE DAYS" back on Prodigy when FR was just a few (geeky type) folks getting together. There were EXTREME changes all the time then.
I'm not a fan of the "Views" total along with the "Replys" total. If I recall that's the way we used to have it and I didn't like it when JR dropped it. Now it's back and I'm grouching about it's return so I guess there's no pleasing some folks. Especially when yer old and grumpy like me.
What has my Tin Foil Antennae all a-wiggling is the number of posts. It seems like since we have to excerpt almost everything folks are not as eager to post and archive stories. I realize the copyright problems and such but I'm about ready to just tell 'em all to shove it. After all isn't our Freedom based at least in part on the free and timely exchange of information?

John...while I realize there are reasons for what you do, I have to admit that I am perplexed by some of the changes. Was there a "release" thread on all of the changes where some feedback can be given? I might have missed it, but if there was I can re-post the comments there..
1. I can't stand the blinking at the top right ("You have mail", "New Posts to You"). That has to stop. The red makes it stand out plenty, but blinking is a) really cheesy (like as in stupid IE-browser specific cheesinees), 2) adds no redeeming value to the page, and iii) what's next, blinking and flashing spam and advertising?
PLEASE STOP THE BLINKING!
2. There still seems to be a bunch of room between the body of a post and the footer/tag of the post. It is just space, but it hogs up vertical space. (more scrolling)

Thor categorically denies that they belong to the Asgard. Jupiter's nothing but a big honkin' gas giant - there's nothing there to battle or cruise except that Earth-sized diamond at the core of the planet. And it costs too much in fuel to overcome gravity's pull to make a pleasure cruise to Jupiter profitable.
Besides, Thor already has a diamond ring - 725 carats, princess cut, mounted on tritanium. He uses it to carve rude graffiti on the portholes and to attract girls.
Now there have been some unscrupulous alien races offering Jupiter package tours. But since the end result of a Jupiter day trip is that you will be instantly crushed into your component protoplasm and die, sales have been sluggish. As in anything else in life, you get what you pay for.
So it wasn't Thor. And you can't prove it was.
A very nice addition IMO, John. Changes look fine to me and I've had no problems.
