USA Today editors have spiked a convention column they commissioned from conservative controversialist Ann Coulter, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.Coulter filed her first report from Boston Sunday night, only to be told hours later that editors found it "unusable" and "not funny."
"They should have read my work before they hired me!" Coulter, who has sold nearly a million copies of her various works and his written a syndicated column for five years, said from Boston.
MOORE ON THE FLOOR, BUT ANN IN THE CAN
Meanwhile Leftwing controversialist and Bush hater Michael Moore has free reign on the floor of the convention hall in Boston -- and has been hired to write for USA TODAY at the Republican convention in New York City!
Developing...
How stupid is USA for hiring Ann and not knowing what type of column she writes. Just heard Ann on Sean's show. She has a new book coming out in Oct. I believe titled " How to talk to a liberal if you have to".
Wonder why they didn't like it? At www.anncoulter.com.
No way in hell USA Today would run that column as is! That sounds like a talk she'd give at CPAC. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they hired her, but they should have expected something like that.
"My pretty-girl allies stick out like a sore thumb amongst the corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons they call "women" at the Democratic National Convention."
Wow.
I heard Rush reading something about Moore FLITTING around the convention floor! LOL LOL that man does many loathsome things but FLITTING somewhere sure isnt one of them. he may trundle off or waddle maybe even roll but FLIT? I dont think so.
Maybe the USA Today was used by the Dems to pay for her silence during the convention by having her under contract and then holding he speech during the convention.
Word has it that USA Today has hired Jonah Goldberg to replace her.
Check it out and see what I mean.

It is on her website. http://www.anncoulter.org/
Meanwhile Leftwing controversialist and Bush hater Michael Moore has free reign on the floor of the convention hall in Boston -- and has been hired to write for USA TODAY at the Republican convention in New York City!Wait a minute. I saw something about Moore was NOT welcomed/invited to the Convention.
It figures.
Warning: not very nice ..
Marines Express THEIR opinion of Michael Moore!
Yeah, I saw your post #78 earlier, but as a NR subscriber and NRO reader, I was aware of the history there. I lost some respect for her when she attacked NR the way she did, it was unprofessional and hypocritical.
When she doesn't go so far over the top, she can be good. She's also very good with younger (high school and college) conservative groups.
Yeah, but I read THIS column by Ann, and it's funny as hell, especially the part about the Dem women!
The truth is too controversial for USA Today readers. lol
I wonder if this is not a subtle attack on Coulter. They let her write during the DNC, then let Michael Moore write during the GNC. Put them on the same tier. Sacrifice Mike Moore (not a loss) to destroy Ann Coulter.
IMO, Michael Moore's not funny AT ALL. Will HE get SPIKED, TOO?
Very 'confusing,' USA Today. [/off sarcasm]
Any readers who aren't conservative would view Ann's piece as reinforcing their view that conservatives are mean-spiritted name-callers who make fun of their opponents but have nothing truthful of substance to say. I for one am glad they spiked Coulter's column, since to 75% of USA Today's readership it would have simply made conservatives look bad.
I don't get it. If USA Today wants to know what "not funny" is, they need to get busy reading anything by Garrison Keillor or Weird Al Franken.
