I know it is late afternoon on Friday for me to get a good response to this posting, however, I am constantly thinking that the US government should come clean, and admit that they lied to us about the shoulder to air missile that hit the TWA flight 800 in the NYC harbor.

I do appreciate that they lied to protect the flying public from panicking, however, after 9/11, and after the wall to wall public education regarding fanatic Islam, it would not be harmful to day to admit the truth.

Please let me know your views?

BTW, there are have been 26, that's twenty-six aircarft since 1959 that have expereinced fuel tank explosions - SO IT ISN'T A NEW PHENONON moron.

Flight 800 was downed by a show-bomb akin to Richard Reid's. The explosion occured right over the center fuel tank (where Reid was sitting). The passenger manifest included a Muslim man with his residence in London, who attended the same mosque as Richard Reid and Zaccharias Moussoui. There is no evidence of a missile besides unreliable "witness" accounts.

I have a colleague who's relative was on the incident investigation team. He's really cryptic, but the relative says that it wasn't a wiring harness..

The Concorde was grounded for damage due to debris on the runway.
IF the Center Wing Tank really did have this DANGEROUS 'defect', all 747's would have been grounded until fixed.
It's really telling that they weren't.

Flight 800 was shot down in July. The election was in November. Hardly "a few weeks".

It was an election year, the DNC convention in Chicago was weeks away... and the Olympics in Atlanta were right around the corner.

Politically, there was every reason in the world to cover up the shootdown.
