Sandy Berger, and TWA 800
7/23/04 | Philosofy123

Posted on 07/23/2004 12:03:52 PM PDT by philosofy123

I know it is late afternoon on Friday for me to get a good response to this posting, however, I am constantly thinking that the US government should come clean, and admit that they lied to us about the shoulder to air missile that hit the TWA flight 800 in the NYC harbor.

I do appreciate that they lied to protect the flying public from panicking, however, after 9/11, and after the wall to wall public education regarding fanatic Islam, it would not be harmful to day to admit the truth.

Please let me know your views?

The biggest fear my pilot friends had with the 747 was going to sleep while it flew itself.

That tank didn't blow up anymore than the Bergelar accidentally stole classified documents.

Nahhhhh, they can't (and won't ever) do that, because then they'd naturally open up the can of worms that is admitting that Hillary Clinton hired Craig Livingsto,ne who is the one who acquired (and was in control of) all the FBI files at Hillary's demand and kept them in a lower floor of the White House.

I would tend to think that the numbers here weigh heavily against a "fuel tank explosion."

Just look at all the airline disasters that occurred in the last ten years under somewhat mysterious circumstances . . . TWA Flight 800, Egypt Air Flight 990, that SwissAir flight that crashed off the coast of Newfoundland, American Airlines Flight 587 (the one that occurred about two months months after 9/11).

I think it's more than just a coincidence that these all involved international flights that departed from JFK Airport in New York City.

And towards a trigger-happy navy?

Alot of Witnesses said they saw some type of light hit the TWA 800.
I'm surprised the military ship that was in Longisland that day.
If a missle shot it down, I'm sure someone from the ship would have admitted it in these last 8 years. I dont think its possible everyone would be quiet.

To the best of my knowledge the Navy doesn't allow missle tests near the NYC area because of just this kind of possibility. It's only about the highest traveled airspace in the country.

In terms of statistical likelihood, yes.

If that crash was caused by a center fuel tank explosion, don't you think the NTSB and Boeing would both have a vested interest in taking all 747s out of service until the "problem" was corrected?

As someone else pointed out, look how long the Concorde was taken out of service after a crash that was caused by debris on a runway.

The residue found on several adjoining seats was tested by two independent laboratories, and determined to be missile propellant.

First I have heard of that. Do you have a link to a reputable source?

One of the most damning pieces of information that the true cause was an accidental shoot-down of TWA 800 is the Navy lied for several months they had no ships in the vicinity that night. Later, they admitted they did have ships present but they steamed away.

If a civilian airliner accidentally crashed in the ocean, why wouldn't U.S. Navy ships assist in searching rather than quickly bugging out?

What was the point of the Navy's initial deception of their presence that night?

I understand.

The Justice Department also didn't allow the use of a certain type of tear gas because it was highly flammable, but that didn't prevent them from incinerating 88 people at Waco using -- you guessed it -- flammable tear gas.

"why W Bush chooses to cover up for Clinton"

There may be a unwritten rule that Presidents don't narc on each other. That the other's problems has to come to its own head.

The only reason a Navy shoot dowen could possibly occur would be the budget cuts under Clinton that effectively killed effective training.
I don't know the likelyhood of a Navy origin shoot down as I was Army Artillery.
We had the "dash tens" on the Stingers, and I read them and everything else we had.
(Even how to clean, inspect and maintain night visioo goggles. *ugh* mind numbing.)

I only know the likelyhoood of a Stinger or similar slamming flight 800, or a Richard Reid type blowing ahole in the side.
*sigh*
I'd ask Navy types about the lieklyhood of a Navy shoot down under clinton funding with minimal training, but everyone I know from the Navy hasn't been over blue water for awhile.
(Plus, being that I'm not Navy myself, I wouldn't know what to ask or how to word it.)

here is a link to a website where they have collected dozens and dozens of reports on the the missile shootdown of TWA800. Far to many to post here. But they include radar tapes, eyewitness reports, and all kinds of other things:

Army,

there are reports of the navy runing exercises in the area, with live weapons, and at least one of the reports covers them firing a 'drone' for target practice, and shooting it down, and there are various radars which reported multiple contacts/tracks converging at the TWA800 'blowup' point.

Check on the link I just posted above, there are several there.

That site says the Navy was 180 MILES AWAY at the time. Hardly in a position for eye witness accounts seeing it come up from the surface...

In terms of statistical likelihood, yes.

So I take it you won't think of travelling on an airplane anywhere near a naval ship or facility? What with them shooting up the airways and all.

About as likely as you shooting a few rounds into the federal building in Oklahoma City because of lack of funding for effective training.
