Wednesday July 21, 2004--The Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Polls shows President George W. Bush attracting 47% of the vote while Senator John Kerry earns 46%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.
It is likely that Kerry's position in the polls will improve over the next week or so in response to the Democratic National Convention.
New Rasmussen Reports data shows that 43% of Americans now believe the U.S. is safer today than it was before 9/11. That's a seven-point improvement since the formal transfer of sovereignty to Iraq. Later today, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern, we will report on whether voters believe the U.S. would be safer if we had avoided the War with Iraq and left Hussein in power.
Yesterday, we released a Partisan Economics summary. Most Democrats say the U.S. is in a recession while Republicans overwhelmingly disagree.
A separate survey released yesterday found that 51% of workers say they receive comparable pay for comparable work. Thirty-seven percent (37%) do not. There is no difference between men and women on this issue.
Our recent state releases included Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Bush improved relative to Kerry in eleven states. Kerry improved relative to Bush in ten states.
When are we be going on the offense? Today, I have Kerry with 332EV and Bush with 195EV, if all battle grounds break agaist us. Will someone call the White House and say wake up!
It will be interesting to see how "Trousergate" affects the numbers...
Go away.
Great, another "long time" member who does nothing but post "Bush is toast", "Time to Warm up To Kerry" crap...
I've noticed you've posted this in a couple places.
Why don't you give us the figures if all battle ground states break toward Bush. Why assume battleground states will break toward Kerry?
Odd handle for the writer of a post that sounds more like the Cowardly Lion.
Get a grip man.
Because we seem to have a collection of people who do nothing but attempt to lower moral in every thread that deals with polls.
. . . ALL of the battleground states are going to break for Kerry -- PLEASE!!! Take a deep breath and check back in September!
[FYI: The campaign is focused on the BASE at present; in August, they will focus more intently on the 3%-5% of the vote that's still undecided! And yes, they will have a rapid response team in Boston -- headed by Rudy G -- to offset all of Kerry's 'obfuscations'!!]
Bush and Cheney have been appearing almost daily in one battleground state or another. I have seen Bush ads on TV within the last couple days. What else should they do? Maybe more focus on the tax cuts and growing economy but I don't think we will see much more until after Labor Day. I don't even think Kerry will get much of a bounce from the convention. 47 or 48% will be the most Kerry will ever get to. That won't be enough to win...
See my tagline....
The MSM will try to convince us the election is over, but if all of us (besides COURAGE) hang in there and continue working hard, there is no reason W can't prevail in November.
or something more heavy than this...
Hello??
53% - very good for Bush - he needs to keep that number up there and it will be his come November!
And Bush has a 53% approval rating? I guess polling is not an 'exact' science. But then again they are starting with delusional democrats who think we are in a recession.
During the run up to the 2000 elections I kept telling people that the only poll I'll take as accurate were the exit polls of the election. Then Floriduh happened.
Why don't YOU call the White House. You seem to have all the numbers ...
Things are going well for the Bush Campaign this week. Thats something the Kerry people can't say about themselves.
OMG, you are so right; it's been shouting that for months!
And with a few exceptions, it seems to ONLY post stuff like that.
No friend of ours.
For those who love America and its freedom
there is only one choice this November.
