OPERATION TIGER CLAW -- DEBRIEFING
My name is Bryan Henderson and I am an 18 year old senior attending Princeton Senior High School. Better known as Templar_Crusader on the PW forum, I am the proud leader of the small but growing PHS chapter of ProtestWarrior.
Operation Tiger Claw was my first attempt at leading a protest against the apathy and leftism running rampant at my school. It all started on Friday, May 14th with a small act of conservative pride. My socialist history teacher was on another kick about how articulate Noam Chomsky was, when I finally reached my limit.

I heard this guy on the radio in Monterey. Very good info.
Wow...you are awesome man. Keep up the great work.
I am glad you exerpted the article. He did a great job.
wow, he shows a whole lot more nards that I did at his age
Brian Henderson is awesome! I admire his level head and courage not to mentions his intellect.
"...The principal said that the Iraqi war and the other issues in the signs do not directly affect the school or its students."
The kid and many of his fellow students are 18. Old enough to vote(18 right?). And old enough to sign up and fight (and perhaps die) in Iraq.
BTTT!
Okay, Bup for Bryan...
A long read but worth it for this phrase alone...
On Friday I called the ACLU and filed an official written complaint, wondering if they would respond. I thought it would be great to see them defending my right to post "THE A.C.L.U. We don't hate religion, we just hate Christianity" signs.
I now count Bryan Henderson,as one of my heroes..I propose that ProtestWarrior.com,be added to FreeRepublic's official links..and possibly to the Resources section.
I now realize, that my daughter's free speech rights were violated, when she was told to shut up about Bill Clinton, back when she was in highschool, during his last term and was facing impeachment.
I'm so proud of you Bryan and how you conducted yourself, that it brought tears to the eyes of this here Texas redneck..Keep up the GOOD FIGHT !
God Bless you and those who stand with you !
5. Know your stuff
Make sure you have your facts straight and know a lot about the cause your fighting for. If you're unprepared your enemy will try and trick you and twist your words around. Be ready to retaliate back with facts.
If you believe in operation Tiger Claw's purpose I would encourage you to write or e-mail my principal Todd Browning:

There is no such thing as separation of speech and state. You as a student have the right to express your personal and political beliefs in school (see Tinker vs. Des Moines). The Supreme Court has upheld this decision on many occasions, protecting student rights. Your administration does not need to like what you're saying, but as long as it doesn't create a material and substantial disruption in the classroom, you can say it. And the disruption has to actually be created -- fear of disruption is not grounds for censorship.
So keep fighting the good fight, even if it isn't the popular thing to do. You might feel alone in your struggle, but you are not, and there are many others like you out there fighting to be heard.
I encourage any students out there to hold your own Operation Tiger Claw, or similar protest. And don't ever let the light of free speech be extinguished by the shadow of political correctness.

Nothing worse than informed teenager to drive an adult crazy.
What a great story. Someone needs to send Master Henderson a copy of "Rules For Radicals" all though he seems to have gotten a good start with ou it.
Bump!
Solid piece of work, young man! I'm not sure I could keep my cool under such circumstances.
When I was 18 in the 70s, I was more focused on girls and beer. This guy has it going on. I hope he runs for office. And please don't tell me he's going into pre-law next year!
WOW! What a star! Great Reading! I think there's hope for us yet!
I put him on my home page! God [seems to] bless all Tiger-related things.
THIRTEEN RULES FOR RADICALS
Excerpted from Rules For Radicals by Saul Alinksy
RULE 1: "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have." Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. "Have-Nots" must build power from flesh and blood.
RULE 2: "Never go outside the expertise of your people." It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy." Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
RULE 4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
RULE 6: "A good tactic is one your people enjoy." They'll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They're doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
RULE 7: "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." Don't become old news.
RULE 8: "Keep the pressure on. Never let up." Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
RULE 9: "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself." Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
RULE 10: "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign. It should be remembered not only that the action is in the reaction and of reaction to the reaction, ad infinitum. The pressure produces the reaction, and constant pressure sustains action.
RULE 11: "If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive." Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
RULE 12: "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative." Never let the enemy score points because you're caught without a solution to the problem.
RULE 13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
