Same-Sex 'Marriage' Issue: Senators on the High Priority Contact List
As the Senate prepares to vote on an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to protect marriage, it is vital that all pro-family Americans contact their Senators in support of this necessary amendment.
Below is a list of Senators that Family Research Council has deemed to be the highest priority. If your Senator is listed, please contact him or her immediately and tell them to cast a vote in support of traditional marriage during the week of July 12th.
LOL........agree. Stay safe !
No.
If it is put into the Constitution it cannot be against the Constitution by definition.
[ ED MCMAHON ] You are correct, sir! [ /ED MCMAHON ]
This notion that Congress can unilaterally declare an issue outside the jurisdiction of the courts is based on a misreading of the Article III, Section 2 of the Constitution. A careful reading reveals Congress has the power to establish "Exceptions and Regulations" limiting the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court. This would not, however, affect the original jurisdiction of such cases. Thus, the effect of Congress excercizing the power to limit appellate jurisdiction would be to make some lower federal court the "court of last resort" for the affected cases.
I've been calling nearly every day for the past week or more. I hope others will do the same. We can't afford to remain silent.
Come on, Buckeyes! Let's hold our two accountable!
I am very sorry... I used the wrong ping list.. you are on my CURRENT do not ping list... i expect i will get a few more messages from others on my "do not ping list"... Please accept my apology..
David
see #46... sorry
BTTT!!!!!!!
Thanks... getting CLOTURE passed is more important than final passage of the ammendment... and those who oppose this know it... tell them to vote FOR it .. or AGAINST it.. just take a stand.. and be prepared to face the people with your decision....
Sen. Durbin is on the floor dancing around.. making a complete fool of himself.. basicly saying that it is too early to take up this issue.. and that no "controversy" exists... what cave is he living in?
Sen. Durbin now says the only reason we are taking up this issue is to change the issue's of the Presidential debate...
vote and be done with it..
I am also stuck in Sodom and Goremoron...the two ladies are lost causes...imo...
You are correct, silence will be rewarded, with just what is happening now...John and John...
Come on guys, don't give up now. Remember, Boxer is coming up for election next year. You never know, this may be the issue that takes her out!
Make sure and also contact your senators that are supporting this. Let them know that you support them and give them some encouragement during this battle.
OK..your positive spirit has me ready to think good thoughts...DOWN WITH BOXER, DOWN WITH BOXER, DOWN WITH BOXER..Hey, it's working. Thanks!!
Thinkahead....
lol! OK now, I'm going to take that comment in the spirit of fun that I know you meant it to be! Just remember, things can change in just one instant..........and I ain't heard the fat lady sing yet either!
From what I know (which isn't a lot) about John Warner, petitioners to him are wasting their time. The man does not look upon conservative cultural issues favorably (I suspect that he enjoys those parties thrown by the liberals in Washington and votes accordingly) and threats to vote him out fall on deaf ears. He is not going to run again.
