Kerry [related, bio] upset some families of 9/11 victims yesterday when he arrived - late - to a private memorial dedication in a sirened motorcade and glad-handed as though he were on the campaign trail. The senator, in Boston for the day, hopped in his motorcade at the Four Seasons, drove around the Boston Public Garden and arrived at the memorial with his sizable entourage in tow. Press were kept away but several family members, speaking privately, said they were miffed that Kerry arrived after most other pols - such as... |
Although many astute FReepers are aware, I should have made clear that the Kerry campaign spokesman was Richard Holbrooke, former Clinton admin State Department official, foreign policy advisor to Kerry, and Washington's most (self)-important man.
Thanks, GLG!
Good for Newt! He is our most intelligent and articulate spokesman and he doesn't have to worry about votes.
He was on with O'Reilly last night and did a very good job.
I think O'Reilly plans on using Newt frequently to explain what's really going on in the political world. (I sure hope so; O'Reilly doesn't have a clue.)

It's not success until State says it success. /sarcasm
True enough but that statement can be said for every war we've ever been in. Look at all the 'mistakes' that happened on D-Day, Tarawa, Iwo Jima. Despite those mistakes, we learned and we won. Same thing is happening in Iraq. We've never fought this kind of war so mistakes are natural. What's important are the overall results which, no surprise, have gone generally well and unreported.
Newt Gingrich calling the rat's foreign policy bluff ping.
Bingo.
Prior to Afghanistan, the Left (I mean the media) was very clear on the subject: NOBODY could ever win a war in Afghanistan. Britian, Russia, everybody was humiliated when they tried it. But now? The country is free, a real government is installed, and elections are coming. But the Left calls it a disaster.
Prior to Iraq, the Left (I mean the media) was very clear on the subject: It would be a bloodbath and a quagmire. But now? The country is free, a real government is installed, and elections are coming. But the Left calls it a disaster.
As another poster on this thread said -- tell me what success looks like??
Oh come on, you know the democrats have Jimma and Maddie waiting in the wings. Who knows, perhaps they'll call in Clarke to set things straight.
Michael Moore will be Secretary of Dense. Hillary will finally give up, withdraw from the Senate and be appointed as Ambassador to Transylvania.
Bill Clinton will spend time in the Lincoln Bedroom during the nocturn whipping out his extern for an intern.
Everything will be hoakie dorie.
;)
Thanks for the briefing.
Im glad I read your post before posting, I was about to post something similar....Bush just said AGAIN the other day..*would you rather fight terrorism there or here?*......btw..that is exactly what my hubby tells everyone who questioned his service in Iraq..they are usually left speechless..
Don't forgot about the new secret weapon, the pretty silky pony, Edwards!
Kerry's plan for the DPRK: more Maddy.
Madeleine Albright on dealing with N. Korea and other outlaw states: "let's not underestimate the value of a nice mint on the pillow. And who better to put it there than me?"
Who says we aren't putting pressure on the "little psycho"???

FoxNews just showed a clip of Edwards tossing a football to the o so athletic wonder of the ages John Kerry, and Kerry missed the catch.
