The President Went to Church at St. John's on Sunday and participated later in the day in a Tee Ball game on the South lawn of the White House.

Monday, July 12th, the President flew to Oak Ridge, Tennessee for a speech on defense of America and to talk about and view radioactive materials put safely in TN vaults from Libya.

After returning to the White House, the President met with the new President of El Salvador, who pledged his support and troops for Iraq.

A little humor for ya'll. I went to the bookstore to buy the Ladies Home Journal. I went to the magazine section and saw several rows of George and Laura and thought, wow, no Kerry, cool. I grabbed an issue from the back and tucked it under my arm, went up to the counter, was looking at some other items as it was rung up and put in a bag. Walked out to the car pulled the magazine out and lo and behold John and Teresa were looking back at me on the cover. I literally screamed, took it back in and exchanged it for the "right" cover. I'll pay much better attention next time, :-) The cashier got a good laugh out of it too.

I'm so afraid that Americans who aren't near New York or the Pentagon will forget 9/11 that whenever I find a quote where the President uses that date, you can count on my using it as the quote of the day.

"Have You Forgotten" is a Darryl Worley song that I think should be played on every radio station in the Country at least once a week.

We must NEVER forget. We were attacked, and we must fight this battle of the amorphous without-borders terrorist threat.

Good catch, homemom. I had several to pick from - but decided on the 9/11 quote. It's my own personal reminder to everyone. I'd shout it from the rooftops if I could!

WOOHOO!!! Party for the president is on Thursday and I contacted the person in charge of the party in my hometown (it's the citywide party) and he said I can promote my website there. He also suggested I bring copies of Kerry's flip flops to distribute. Hmmm...here's hoping my kitten doesn't attack the papers before Thursday! :)

I think this is the most relaxed outfit I've ever seen GWB in (except for jeans at the ranch, but that's more like work wear, considering the location). This shirt gives a whole new insight into our guy.

I am going nuts. I've cleaned, did the groceries, washed clothes, made dinner from scratch, fooled around too long on FR and written not word one of my dissertation proposal today. Why?? Why can't I make myself write?? I'm not usually a procrastinator.

I'd steal Barney, too, if I had the chance. I passed the White House today and wished that I could drive up alongside it where some of these pictures are taken - off to the side of the West Wing - and grab the little guy and take off.

However, I'm sure the Secret Service and the Park Service would not appreciate my attempts, so I'll have to content myself with buying a Scottish Terrier pup after I've moved.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm NOT looking forward to this move - so much to get rid of or DO something with - that I just wish I could wave a magic wand, and "Bippitty Boppitty Boo!" - it'd be over and there'd I be in my new home.

Alas, I have to do the hard work - and it seems to take soooooo long. But I keep plugging at it, knowing that very soon, it will be done and the moving truck will be pulling away - and I'll be off to my new home.
