I would like to see Reagan's chosen son Micheal speak at the Republican convention.

I've never liked the little weasel. He destests President Bush, I've heard him say as much in interviews.
I wondered why Ron's "wife" showed up one the second day of late President Reagan's funeral tributes. I didn't see her at all during the first day.

Yee-friggin' ha.
Lil' Ronnie gets his moment in the sun. Whoop-diddly do.
If the 'rats think they can win an election on stem cell research, well, let 'em have at it.

No one disliked President Reagan more than his own son Ron Prescott Reagan. No one loved President Reagan more than his own son Micheal Reagan.Ron should be ashame of himself for playing off his father death.

I agree, but I don't think he has much credibility now, unless it's with Michael Moore.

I'm beginning to wonder if there hasn't been a massive screwup of teh paperwork concerning the Reagan children. I believe Michael is the biological child of Ronand Reagan and the other children are adopted !! (Or found under some rock !!)

I'll bet it was one of the few times that Chrissy stopped spraying spittle long enough for someone to speak.

If Ron the son is going to speak on stem cell research, then he is covering old ground. There is a lot of stem cell research going on and President Bush is allowing money to be spent on that. BUT, if he is speaking on embryonic stem cell research, then his Dad would have opposed to this. President Bush is not supporting embryonic stem cell research. Mrs. Reagan refuses to address the GOP convention in August because of President Bush's opposition to embryonic stem cell research. Too bad, she will miss a great opportunity to support President Bush!

Perhaps, but we shouldn't guess about these things.
The Democratic party is the most successful political party in the history of the world. That they are even close to beating Bush is a testament to their power to manipulate voters. They obviously think the Ron gambit will help them. I say: take this seriously and attack the little turd.

Nancy has neither the character nor the intellect to support her party in this year of crisis. She doesn't want a Texas cowboy horning in on her husband's reputation in any way. While she won't support Kerry, don't expect her to lift a finger for W. She has screwed Republicans before, and cannot be expected to help them this time. Don't attack Nancy, just dismiss her as a tired old woman who has nothing to do with the Reagan legacy (beyond keeping his name out there in lights -- the softer the better).
I'm sure you're right, but I'm still hoping she'll come to her senses. Michael Reagan should be asked to speak at the convention. He's a great speaker and will be the "other son" that can speak on behalf of his father (unlike the tutu boy).
To: Pikamax
Ron Jr. shouldn't give a speech. If he were really honest about the issue, he would donate his body to research NOW!
To: demkicker
Yes, Michael should speak to the convention. My guess is that the "leadership" of the party doesn't trust him because he left the GOP at some point and even today may not be a registered Republican (does anyone know?)
But if he gives his word, he can be relied on to give an excellent, and helpful speech. Let's encourage the party's "leaders" to invite Michael.
To: FairOpinion
He has always been a pain in his father's behind. An embarrassment. A ballet dancer! Regan hating, conservative hating totally irrelevant son of a great President. Patty falls into the same category, except that she can't dance. To be ignored and derided.
