Bush by 1%, and we know that doesn't matter. But what does matter, folks, is Rasmussen is the only viable measurement vehicle out right now that can show if F911 had any impact on opinion at all.
Answer: NO.
Did Rasmussen ask any specific questions in relation to F911?
I didnt see anything on the site, but I did notice that Bush leads in almost every category except two, but hes only up by 1% and is losing the electoral battle..
If you go to Rasmussen's "electoral votes," he has Ohio and Florida as tossups rather than in the Bush camp, where the latest polls have them. If you move them where the polls show them to be, Bush leads by 30+ EVs, without PA or MI.
I have the rassmussen site bookmarked, I check it everyday, but as with most polls, I take them with a grain of salt, sometimes two. IMHO, Bush will comfortably, but that october surprise is still out there..
Right now, Bush is leading in Rassmussen's Big 3 - Leadership, Economy, Iraq. Still, I won't take much stock in Rassmussen until he proves himself in this election. It doesn't make sense for Bush to lead in all these categories, have a high approval rating, but be neck-n-neck with Kerry every single day since he started these polls.
Rasmussen asks nothing about F911. That is not the point. The point is he samples a 3 day moving average and there has now been plenty of time for that film to show impact on opinions. It doesn't. Bush moved up 1% (well within MOE so meaningless).
Remember, always, no pollsters know what turnout model to use so none of their values are meaningful statically, but if they hold there sampling formula constant, then the trends they show *are* meaningful, and that's what we have here. No change since F911.
TIME POLL: Do you believe that Moore's film F. 9/11 offers an accurate depiction of the president?
75% NO, 24% YES, 1% Don't Know (=240 000 respondents)
Interesting article about the profits from F911 yesterday in the Wall Street Journal. The Weinsteins were in such a rush to get the movie out they signed a deal to let Disney choose a charity (charities) to give most of the profits of F911 to. They will get some ... and Big Arse Moore ... but Disney gets to pick who gets the most.
Kerry has played his last "surprise card" before his convention. He has to hope whatever bounce it gives him lasts until the debates. There is NOTHING his convention can do now to help him.
I was reading DU last night (I know, I know) and quite a lot of people were shocked that F911 did not give Kerry a bounce ... and many thought that it would cause Senate hearings and indictments. Deluded!
Pretty scary that so many insane people are walking the streets.
