The Allegheny County sheriff's department has a new tool in its arsenal to "Mini-mize" crime.
The sheriff's department has unveiled the first-ever Mini Cooper law enforcement patrol car in the country, aptly named the "MINI COPPER."
MINI of Pittsburgh, located in Shadyside, donated the car to the department for six months to a year to promote various city and county events. It will also be used in conjunction with crime prevention activities, such as child identification and protection from strangers programs.

Nah. But I also used to drive an 87 Sube GL, and had the front seat reclined so far back that if someone pulled up next to me, I looked out at them through the rear window.

but I'm really not sure if it applies to me or not.
There are millions of guys who can "talk football" better than me: citing stats, trivia, trades, which team's gonna whoop somebody else's butt, etc. etc. etc. I admit I kinda get lost in that kind of stuff... it doesn't interest me. I have more of a tendency to focus on the detail of what I see happening on the field with my own eyes. It's a great way to filter out the trash talk.

English design, BMW manufacturing. Lots of them here in Colorado. The Mini-Cooper S is fast.
They will make good police cars. Small / low profile means people won't see them till it's too late.

I've test driven the thing. I'm 6'2" and if i push the seat back all the way, I can't touch the pedals right...not kidding. Roof nearly 10" above my head too. Unbelieveably spacious small car. Even the back seat can hold 2 adults COMFORTABLY. No room at all though (well a few inches) behind the back seat.
Also standard is a 160 hp engine. Terrific for a car that size. The S-version is even better, significantly.
BMW owns the British Mini company and helped them revamp and modernize the current Cooper. In essense its like a very small Beemer...
