With no support from major media, Jack Cashill's tough but sympathetic look at the life and death of Ron Brown – "Ron Brown's Body: How One Man's Death Saved the Clinton Presidency and Hillary's Future" – has reached the No. 5 spot on BestBlackBook.com's top 100, the definitive best-seller list for black-themed books.

Cashill's new book will be featured on C-Span 2's Book TV Sunday at 9 a.m. Eastern time.

He says "credit goes to Book TV for airing a subject that has, so far at least, scared away the networks."

Cashill's presentation on the new release by WND Books, he said, "drew a crowd of about 200 and evoked a standing ovation, but rattled more than a few in the bipartisan audience who are used to acquiring their political news as filtered through the major media."

The author says he "explores not only the life and death of Ron Brown, but also the media climate that allowed Brown to rise so noisily and fall so silently."

Cashill makes a powerful case that in the run-up to the 1996 election, the media reflexively overlooked the mysterious circumstances of Brown's death and TWA Flight 800's demise – the subject of his previous book, with James Sanders, "First Strike" – lest their investigations jeopardize Bill Clinton's re-election.

"My primary goal," says Cashill, "was to convince the most skeptical member of the C-Span audience that major events could take place without their knowledge. We'll see if I succeed."

Watched O'Reilly tonight (just because I usually leave FoxNews on). The highpoint of the otherwise laughable show was hearing Dick Morris, actually say OUTLOUD, that if Hillary ever got a VP slot, that the President better have a big life insurance policy.

Nomatter what you think about the man, he speaks the truth on that one.

I've told this story before, but it bears repeating...

In 1998 when I was finishing up my masters, I had a black woman Ph.D who wanted us to give two presentations in class. I have been a long-time conspiracy freak and did a presentation on the King assassination conspiracy. She liked it so much I decided to push the envelope and did one on Ron Brown's death. I used a lot of the Army pathologists imagery from FR. She was stunned and didn't say much. Several days later she pulled me aside after class.

Turns out she is a very good friend of the widow and my presentation really disturbed her. She called Mrs. Brown and told her about my presentation in great detail, as the widder Brown simply listened....she then paused and said, "What do you think?"

The reply was, "I can't talk about it." She was convinced

a) There was something to it and the widow knows.
b) Perhaps the widow didn't follow up with any conversation because she was uncertain about the security of the phone.

I shared with her some of the speculation from our forum that her son was still under investigation, and perhaps that was being held over the family to "ensure" cooperation. I also asked her why the black community could worship this man. She didn't respond to that one.

Not long after that, Brown's son was cleared and the whole issue has faded.

I thought Cashill did an excellent job on Sander's last video with animation of what people saw of Flight 800. I would bet this book is pretty well done. Obviously, the word of mouth must be out in the black community or this book would have dissapeared without a trace...

I saw this Book-TV broadcast today for "Ron Brown's Body", and it was excellent.

One thing I learned that never came out at the time, is that in the 1993 Waco fire, the MAJORITY of persons who died there were racial minorities (42 out of 80) and 28 of those people were BLACK.

Not one word ever hit the press that black people were there. The author says "they KNEW, but they ONLY showed on the media, WHITE people." They wanted you to think that, these were peckerwood, Christian, gun-toting Texans that weren't worth preserving."

I learned that Ron Brown flipped out and threatened the Clintons because the FBI in Oklahoma had collected felony evidence on his son Michael Brown among others.

Per the author, "the case against Michael and Ron Brown came out of Oklahoma, and had to do with siphoning money out of an energy company, and Michael was sent there, to be essentially the conduit for Ron Brown." ... "They were BOTH guilty, as Nolanda [Hill] says in her wonderful Texas-ese, Michael was guilty as goose, and they had him, and he was looking at prison".

It makes me suspect that the April 19, 1995 bombing of the FBI building in OKC was somehow in retaliation for the agents there who developed the case against Michael Brown, the asian cash quid-pro-quo, and the Clintons.

I looked it up, and Michael Brown eventually pleaded guilty in 1998 to a misdemeanor election-law violation as part of a deal with Justice Department prosecutors.

Another interesting note: The author says the Air Force was angry that on day 1, they were "ordered to treat the crash as an accident". He also says the architect for the "TWA 800 exit strategy" was Richard Clarke; Clarke boasts that in his book, pages 120 and 127. And the person who executed the "TWA 800 exit strategy" was Jamie Gorelick.

I never said Ron Brown was behind it. The FBI agents that worked there were hell-bent on indicting and convicting both Browns, the Clintons, the Riady's, the Chinese cash quid-pro-quo scheme....

Take your pick. I only pointed out that it was the very same FBI guys that were investigating/prosecuting the democrats that 'got blowed up'.

Yeah, and at about that time in the presentation I think Cashill referred to a telling book by Lani Guinier written after she'd been shafted by the Clintoons.

It might be the most worthwhile reading that airhead ever produced.

Some interesting info with regard to the Ron Brown death in post #15. A bit of a possible connection to OKC and TWA 800, with our friend Jamie Gorelick's fingerprints all over it. Given all the other info that we know, this web of interrelativity would confuse a spider.
