A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Bush - Cheney 04

Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. If you missed seeing any of this week's threads and want to say hello there now, just click on the link for that particular day. If you'd like to drop in and out of this thread today through Sunday, please feel free to do that also. One of us will try to be around to see the welcome mat is still out, put the coffee pot on, and maybe even bring fresh flowers for the table. : )

..... and by August, we'll be into our usual drought. I'm enjoying the rain while I can.

Well, except for yesterday. You can blame the rain on me. I washed my car yesterday morning. Around 2:30 p.m., I went to What-a-Burger for a bite to eat. About 1 minute before I got home, it started in. Rained on my shiny clean car.

Oh, well, at least I had put the high pressure wax on it, and it dried off pretty quick in the garage.

Being without FR feels like not having my car keys in my pocket ... being back feels great.

Oh, no. I'm not complaining about the rain. I haven't had to turn on my sprinkler system yet this year, thanks to the rain.

Mary Jo Kopechne

Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she finally died, while the Democrats' leading Iraq war critic rushed back to his compound to formulate the best alibi he could think of.

Neither does Generation X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15 years earlier -- for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final. Or why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests.

As they listen to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse President Bush of "telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young voters don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach, when Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town, an evening that ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.

It's time for Republicans to state unabashedly that they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House. And if the Republicans don't, let's do it ourselves by passing this forgotten disgrace around the Internet to wake up memories of what a fraud and fake Teddy really is.

TED KENNEDY, OXYGEN THIEF

Ted Kennedy: "On March 19, 2004, President Bush asked, 'Who would prefer that Saddam's torture chambers still be open?

"Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management: U.S. management."

What sort of dysfunctional moral compass must one have to make such a comparison?

Kennedy should resign his Senate seat. He is a disgrace. I can't imagine the people that continue to vote for this piece of trash.

Reposting my comments from above thread:

While the media is working against the Bush administration, I think I agree that these Monsters would have done this anyway and ARE using that as an excuse.

Excerpt from them to Senator Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd and other anti-American U.S. Senators, from an email intercepted right after Kennedy's Abu-Ghraib rant above:

"Please keep up the great work in helping our cause, you fine people. Please make sure word gets out that this was in retaliation for the Iraqi Prisoner Abuse. This would be especially helpful in your next TV appearance before whatever investigation of the Bush Administration is coming up down the road. It is great to have folks over there that are on OUR side. You make us happy. Thank you ....."*

*above red text is FICTIONAL, btw.

"George W. Bush’s Vietnam" ... quagmire ... "Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management" ... Bush bad ... Democrats good ... blah, blah, blah ! ....

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. -Psalm 150:6

Worship, praise, and adoration
All belong to Jesus' name;
Freely give your heart's devotion,
Constantly His love proclaim.

A heart filled with praise brings pleasure to God.
